Mennoya Noodle House — Restaurant in Hawthorne

This is a great place to come and eat. I'm vegan and my boyfriend is not and we were both really happy with our 1st experience here! They completely understood and pointed out to me what was and wasn't vegan on the menu. (Their Ramen noodles aren't vegan but the delicious Udon is!)

What I usually find when I get vegan ramen at a place that isn't 100% vegan is that the soup base is kind of bland or just salty. The soup base here is so flavorful! It's a gigantic portion and I ate the whole thing.

Also they have a spiciness level from 1 - 5 peppers. I chose 2 and it is like most other places 3.5 on the spicy scale!

Tempura was hot and very fresh. I love the seaweed tempura!!

The atmosphere is so fun and the music is really great. You will feel like you are in an anime or a jrpg. The one piece theme is so adorable. The seating is comfortable and there's lots of windows.

There is parking around back if you get to the front and there's no parking. Also free parking...

I was really surprised this place was right around the corner from work. Generally places like these don’t open up in this neighborhood, I hope they continue to do so as we need more food diversity in the area.

I stopped by shortly after opening eager to try them out. I will drive out to the harbor gateway area to get my ramen fill from shin sen gumi and other local shops so this was a one min drive away. The lady who took my order was nice and concise.

The food: I ordered a tonkotsu bowl (pictured without broth) and some chicken karage. Both were delicious and the portions were great. I don’t have anything negative to say about the food as it met my standards.

I wish then the best of luck and will be stopping by regularly. Do yourself a favor and visit, give them your business as shops like...

Typing this as I’m still enjoying my ramen bowl, that’s how you know it’s good! I couldn’t wait! Did the custom noodle bowl with chicken broth and chicken dumplings, amazing! The level 1 spice is perfect, a little bit of a kick but not overwhelming. Pork dumplings are ridiculously good! Also got the egg rolls, again, amazing and piping hot! This was my first time here as we just moved to the area and we will be regular customers from here on out! Great service, good amount of dine in seating, also good for kids as they bring you a little bowl for ramen if your kid wants to eat some of your noodles. 10/10...
