Well, we are from out of state and staying in the area. We looked at reviews and wanted to go for a great experience and food. Which reviewing other reviews of the restaurant was perfect and we attended. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Easy parking and was about 10-20 minutes to place your name on the list to get a seat. The restaurant was very busy and the staff seemed to be very efficient. Our name was called and we were seating in a corner bench which was very nice we all commented about the wall paper and artwork of the restaurant and that it captured many things that we had seen since we had been enjoying our stay.
We ordered our meals and the meals came in a very timely manner. Well this is when the experience changed, Rachell was our sever, unfortunately she may have not been having a good day, she was rude right from the hop and clearly didn’t want to serve us. I understand that everybody has a bad day. But unfortunately in the services industry culture and experience for clients is the experience. I have personal been in the service industry for 25 years and now in another service industry to this point.
As an established restaurant building a reputation you can’t come to a table of people that want to experience a good time and good food with attitude, it simply doesn’t work unfortunately Rachel did have this we felt completely rushed to order and when not ready it was apparent that she wasn’t ready to be delivering a client experience that was a good one.
After all of this we ordered. Meals came out in a good timing and the coffee was really good. However my meal had a massive ball of hair in it. Yeah….. not good, I simply was turned off and when brought to the attention of our sever it was just suggested to just comp the meal.
Rachel, was not happy with my personal reaction. When confronted with it she was surprised that I wanted her to write off the whole experience. To her words (Our kitchen doesn’t wear hair nets) well.. the $45 ticket that you lost one at any supplier (Sysco) would get you a case of hair nets.
So my question is. Are you still hungry?, Nice establishment, terrible service. Hair should be covered ask Costco.
We left the server a tip and paid...
Read moreI have been to Belle's on multiple occasions. Unfortunately this one was far from the best experience. We signed in behind the other guest ahead of us as normal. While the waiter/host called names of the parties ahead of us all of which were parties of 3 or more including an 8 top. There where 5 in front of us. I asked if we could sit at the bar since there was two of us, and the other guest in front didn't want to sit at the bartop. We where told no we needed to wait till the parties in front were seated even though nobody wanted to sit at the available seating at the bar. 35 minutes later we are seated at the still empty bar lol go figure... as we waited for our new waiter to catch up we looked over the menu. My waiter was nice and curtiouse. I did however ever feel sorry for the other patrons as I watched there food sit in the window for an extended period of time. Also not a fan of the plate of pre toasted bread sitting under a warmer lightly buttered waiting for its forever home on someone's plate. Well guess what 20 minutes later with my order two pieces of that lonely bread found its way to my plate. I like to think of Belles as a fresh made to order experience, today's not so much. Ordered eggs Benny and side of toast with strawberry jam which is always amazing. My brother ordered the big plate with bacon and a waffle. The first set of bacon was overdone and turned mostly to bacon dust by the touch. They did redo the bacon which was much better the second time around. Everyone just seemed out of sorts and not really focused on the task or customers at hand. This is in no means ment to bash any specific employees, strictly observations that can help the learning curve. I will be back another time for sure and hopefully the little kinks will be worked out. I am a firm believer in supporting our local mom and pop places vs. The bigger chains. Hope next round is a good...
Read moreLet me start this off by saying that the service has to be absolutely god awful for me to even consider making a complaint. I myself work in the restaurant industry and I try to be as understanding as possible. The hostess is going to be the first impression of the restaurant and she noticed we were there and was sitting talking instead of seating us. When she sat us she was not welcoming at all there was no “hi, how’s your day going” or anything. Then we finally got sat out server was even worse. When I was trying to order and was declined and her response was “um no not yet I’m not ready for you I’m going to run food” then we got our app and we sat staring at our food trying to ask someone to get us utensils and a long while later we got someone to grab us some utensils. After we finally got to order our food our server almost hit me in the face with the menus. She was also very rude when we were asking about menu items and honestly just made us feel uncomfortable and not welcomed. This was really disappointing because I am always working at a restaurant and never sitting down at one, and this made me feel as stressed out as I am at work. At my job I would have been fired for treating a customer the way that I got treated here. You should NOT work in the restaurant industry if you are not able to remain professional and respectful under pressure. Mind you she was a full grown adult she looked like she was in her 30s or 40s. The service was worse than a Dennys in downtown Spokane. This was by far the worst dine in experience I have ever had in my life. The food was very good though and I would still like to thank the cooks. we are probably never going to come back and if we do it is going to be take out. Do better. This was...
