Been going here for many years and always order the same thing. Have always had great service until today at the Drive up to place order and young kid comes outside to take orders in the drive up and when I order two shrimp burritos and he asked what size I state super and tell him that we only want garlic shrimp, rice, beans and sour cream and he says to me very rudely and very impolite tells me. "no you can't order that, don't you read the menu, that's not correct" I tell him that is how the owner "older gentle man a few years ago told me to order it" when I ask him his name he said "for what", I told him because I wanted to let management/owner know how you are speaking to customers, the young kid just walked away. When I exited my vehicle to talk to the manager inside, the manager apologized and stated I will talk to him (the kid was standing right behind him). At this point is where the manager should have talked to the young kid right then and there and confronted him and then had him apologize for his discriminatory customer service skills. This kid has most likely been raised with a LARGE SILVER SPOON IN HIS MOUTH for the few short 18 so years of his existence and never been disciplined for treating others poorly. Sad that this new generation treats others so poorly and the Racial profiling and disrespect is unbelievable. PEOPLE TEACH YOUR KIDS BETTER!! THIS IS THE BAY AREA with so much rich culture & people are getting meaner and meaner!!! This experience today has made me rethink going back to this location. Not to mention the burrito was drier then usual and not the rich garlic flavor it has had in the past. Sad that I have to post...
Read moreIn contrast to my expectations, I ordered a Happy style burrito at this establishment. While the meat was satisfactory, the quantity and quality of the listed fixings and toppings were significantly diminished. The guacamole, in particular, resembled salsa rather than guacamole and lacked flavor. I consumed the burrito within a 10-15 minute span and experienced immediate stomach aches, necessitating a visit to the restroom. This is my second visit to this establishment. My first visit was 12 years ago, during the time when Carne Asada fries were a popular offering. Since then, I have not returned, despite the significant hype surrounding the establishment on social media. Many individuals claim that it serves the best Mexican food in Hayward. Having resided in Hayward for approximately 30 years, I can confidently assert that there are numerous other establishments that offer more flavorful and reasonably priced Mexican cuisine. I do not intend to express any negative sentiments towards the owner of the company, but I believe that the food at this establishment falls short of authentic Mexican cuisine. Given my experience as a certified chef with a culinary degree, I would rate this establishment one out of five stars. I could have prepared a superior...

If you get any of the owners to take tour order beware they are NOT nice at all, not even a hello, a thank you, a smile, nothing!! Has been this way for years! You would think they are so miserable they hate their job. If you get any of the younger kids, they are super friendly and always thankful. You would think with all of the other options to eat around there ( street food vendors) they would be thankful or appreciative that they are still getting customers spending money on their average food.
My burritos are cold sometimes. My son prefers the veggie burrito over carne asada only because the meat tastes old and dry like it’s been sitting out all day. This is coming From a kid who loves carne asada tacos/tortas everywhere he goes.
I do recommend the appetizer nachos, the best ever! I did however get one the other day and the cheese was not melted completely, luckily an easy fix as I was eating at home and popped in the microwave.
The chile rellenos are NOT recommended, they are so dry! Seems like they use only egg whites, where typically they use both...
