Hello Sunshine Treats LLC — Restaurant in Hazlet Township

Ordered a birthday cake that should have been earth tones with strawberries on top and received a baby pink and white cake with glitter on it. Zero strawberries on the top of the cake and no earth tones were incorporated. Even more concerning, I was completely appalled when I cut into the cake and it was as wet as a tres Leche cake. I called to express my concerns and to go over the order form and they recited back to me what I ordered which was certainly not this cake. Overall nothing was done, no refund, no credit, nor no new cake was offered- the lady on the phone remained silent after rereading the order form. Ended up having to go to another place and buy another cake. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I barely do reviews but feel so strongly on this considering I almost didn’t have a birthday cake for tonight (even though I ordered this cake way in advance).

Update: It doesn’t let me comment back on a review post. I am very sure it was hello sunshine treats LLC located in airport plaza-not another bakery the order was under the name...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hello Sunshine Bakery! They made my wedding cake and cookies, and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish.

The cake was not only stunning but also incredibly delicious. It was beautifully decorated to match my winter wedding theme, with elegant details that looked straight out of a fairytale. The cookies were just as amazing. They were custom-designed to fit my theme, and the level of detail was impressive. Not only did they look gorgeous, but they also tasted incredible. Beyond the quality of their baked goods, the team at Hello Sunshine Bakery was an absolute pleasure to work with. Nikki listened to my vision, provided great recommendations, and ensured that every detail was exactly as imagined.

I stopped in twice for some cookies and a cupcake. The first time, the service was terrible. The girl at the counter didn't know what was what and she gave me the wrong cupcake after she asked me a couple of times which one I wanted. My son didn't care for the cupcake which is unusual and the chocolate chip cookie was bland and too cake-like. The gluten free pumpkin cookie had nice flavor, but again cake like and not like a cookie. On my second try here, I decided to try the black and white cookie. It was frozen. I had to defrost it so I could eat it. Taste was good, but if I wanted a frozen cookie, I wouldn't go to a bakery. Service was friendly and much better the second time. I will give them another try with something else, but so far I'm not really impressed...
