Yellow Rose Diner — Restaurant in Keyport

I have went to the Yellow Rose since I can remember and I will be 33 in a month and I remember at Memorial School the 8th grade prom everybody always went to the Yellow Rose and I remember whenever you wanted to like when you were little and you wanted to like hang out with your friends or hang out with your little boyfriend and your 12 13 14 years old you either go to McDonald's or you go to the Yellow Rose they have great service great people and if you want the best waitress ask for Jessica she's there Monday through Friday 9 to 5 she will take care of you trust me she's fast efficient friendly make sure your orders right if you don't like something she will personally make it her business to make sure you get what you want and you like so if you're planning to go to the Yellow Rose make sure you ask for Jessica as a waitress Monday through Friday she's there 9 to 5 and she will take care of you she's the best waitress there!!! The other waitresses there are also very nice and sweet and efficient and so are the night girls but Jessica is by far my favorite waitress & THEE BEST WAITRESS I EVER HAD AT ANY RESTERAUNT I'VE BEEN TO EVEN THE FANCY RESTAURANTS and she always gets everything right but definitely everybody that works there is wonderful awesome sweet amazing and nice the managers the assistants the Busboys the cooks are amazing the boss is awesome it's just a great Diner you can go there on a date you can go there with your family sometimes they have fun things to do there it's awesome you know if you have like a family gathering it's perfect for those because they have a beautiful upstairs and they have great rates and great deals and they also do catering and those deals are amazing too so I don't even want to give you a Rose 5 Stars I want to give yellow rose 10...

YUCK YUCK YUCK FLIES EVERY WHERE!!!

I had barely finished half my plate of an Hot Open-Face Roast Beef and I had 2 flies land on the food. Totally grossing me out and eliminating my appetite in totality.

Keep in mind now that this is the SECOND time this occurred at this diner. I kept coming back simply because I enjoy the staff at the diner and the food is not that bad either.

Like the old adage goes, "It takes only one bad apple to spoil the bunch" well thats what happened tonight. When I said something to the server about their fly problems she returned with an adjusted bill. They discounted my meal by $1.50 ... OH WOW a whole $1.50. To me that was very, very disrespectful of my business to this establishment that I have been faithfully patronizing. I would of rather heard her say "We don't give a F^%$ about you .... get out" then to say we place a $1.50 value on your business.

I'm done here, I have no problem going to any other place that would value my patronage.

And to think that this place is owned by the same restauranteur that owns the Cornucopia WOW what a bad hostess you have here totally destroys your...

It wasn't that good. I ordered the stuffed tilapia which said to had crab meat in the stuffing. But it wasn't crab at all it was imitation crab. And just mush in the middle. Fish was ok seasoned well. And I also ordered a fruit platter which was 10 dollars. And it said it had fresh strawberries peaches and banana. I barely got 2 strawberries cut into slices. No peaches at all. And and a banana in slices. But instead I got tomato lettuce and cucumber. Not sure how that classified as fruits and it was all covered in tapioca pudding like ugh. So nasty. Never asked for that. And it was super pricey for the really low quality. Never going there again that's for sure. Not to mention I sat there waiting for 15 minutes before someone came to me. And then my waitress vanished. I had to walk up after finishing my food and waiting for her to bring check for 20 more minutes. !!!! Until I just got up and insisted on paying my self at register. Nice people...
