Hazleton classic alert 🚨 Tried the famous Senapetizer, a pitza with scamutz, and the Connie Special from Senape’s Tavern — and wow, that square with scamutz was next-level 🔥 Which one would you try first?” #hazleton #pizzatok #nepapizza #pizzareview #foodie

I saw this restaurant on social media. The guy said it was the best pizza, even people from NY said so. So wrong! The first red flag was the man answering the phone. I ordered a Sicilian pizza, a pepperoni pizza and fries. He laughed and told me to go to McDonalds if I wanted fries. So rude. The pizza (round as they called it) was definitely a frozen pizza that they threw some pepperoni on. Horrible. The Sicilian (square as they called it) was way undercooked and had no seasonings. Second red flag, when I walked in the 2 ladies behind the bar didn’t even look at me. Finally I asked if this is where I pick up orders. Her response, “name” with a ton of attitude. Red flag three, the place is old, dingy, dark and smells like 50 year old smoke. 0/10!

My first time having their pizza was about 2 weeks ago.. I always saw it at the grocery store (sold boxed and cold) but didn't want to try it that way. So as I'm telling the bartender that this was my first time, the owner overhears me and comes out to talk and gives me a little history on the place.. he then tells me to hang around for a minute and goes into the kitchen and gets me another pie, this one on the house for being a newb. Totally awesome of him. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're ever in Hazleton.. everything's original in there and they serve beer! What more could you...

I’m from NYC / NJ where great pizza’s are in abundance. Sanepe’s, however, has probably some of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had. Flavor, fluffy dough, and abundance of toppings are some of the reasons why.

There were 13 of us and most were kids. They took care of us really well. Rated atmosphere 4 starts because it’s really not a place for a big group or date. It’s a dive bar after all, but they’ve kept most of the original things in place and has a nice simple setting to it.

The old guy behind the bar invited us to come back so he can tell us a story on how this place began and all. That was...
