Went here on Saturday night. Seemed busy but there's was definitely a lot available seating. We waited in the lobby area where it says "please wait to be seated" where we waited at least 10 minutes--nobody acknowledged us until my husband asked how long it'll be to get seated. Was answered with a confused "what?"
Finally got seated, we ordered pretty much immediately and got our water right away. We waited 50 minutes for our 1 appetizer and 70 minutes for the main course. If we had to have waited 5 more minutes we would have left. Not once did our waitress acknowledge the wait time or apologize--she didn't even say anything when she brought our appetizer. There were 2 older men sitting near us, one got his food after waiting awhile while the other man just sat there with no food until his friend was done his meal. The waitress said it was because someone had put in another order before him so his was pushed back?
Our waters were empty for the whole meal (I say that lightly, since we didn't have food for 90% of the time we were there), not once refilled. My husband was so turned off from the experience that he had to just take his food to go without eating anything.
They call it a family restaurant but there were no crayons or coloring sheets for the plenty of children that were there. Luckily my 4 year old daughter found entertainment in ripping up napkins and sorting the sweet n lows.
I joked that we should have put in a takeout order because we probably would have received that faster than our dine in order. I noticed a lot of reviews mentioned slow service and get responded with "sorry there were lots of take out orders" but if you can't keep up with your dining room orders maybe you should close part of the dining room off or hold off on takeout orders so people aren't waiting hours...
Read moreNot only did we wait 20 minutes for our food but it was cold The Omelette was basically unchopped and raw vegetables with scrambled egg throw it on top the potatoes had a grittiness to them whenever you chewed as if they were not washed and covered in sand along with a couple eyes that were never removed toast was barely toasted and after we received our food we then had to remind them that we needed silverware to eat our food with👎
I have recently received a message from the restaurant about the comment that I have made above saying that they will do better in the future these are hard times and I understand this but being a customer I would like to point this out even if it's not necessarily what most people think of I would rather be turned away from a restaurant that has such a great reputation then be served I would more than gladly take a rain check the restaurant that day was extremely busy and inside seating was completely full I am not by any means trying to put this restaurant down but the next time a customer cannot be served due to capacity in my eyes it is better to turn them away or to have them wait then to overextend the capabilities of your staff just to cater to a single customer, I thank you very much for your response and I'm one of the few customers to say this but not all customers are always right if someone gets mad because they get turned away that's on them you guys have had such a great reputation that I am willing to come back at another day when you are not so busy to try your food for an honest first time I hope you take this into...
Read moreWe have NEVER been disappointed by the culinary wonders offered here! On a dreary, rainy day, my hubby and I stopped here for a late lunch. A sign in front proclaimed there were Lobster Rolls to be had here!! I quickly decided that would be my first of the soon- to- begin "lobster season" in my dietary repertoire. My lunch partner was undecided on what "sounded good". We were welcomed into the cheerful dining room and shown to our booth. I didn't need to see a menu, having already decided what would make me happy... my only decision was going to be a difficult one: Hot, buttered Lobster meat in a grilled to perfection roll... or a cold, mayo, diced celery and Lobster meat salad on an equally perfect roll?? I turned to the task at hand, helping my hubby decide what would fit the bill for him. Normally he doesn't choose "Wraps", but I read through them anyhow and found one that I knew would "speak to him"! It was a grilled sausage and peppers, and onions wrap with shredded mozzarella cheese and ricotta cheese and just the right bit of marinara to add flavor (but not sloppy juiciness) to it. Added to that was crispy French fries, coke slaw and a pickle! He decided to try that wrap and I opted for the cold lobster salad roll. Our choices tasted every bit as wonderful as we had thought they would!! The Sausage and Peppers wrap was stuffed full of yumminess, and my Lobster Roll was pulled high atop a lettuce covered grilled to perfection bun! At $9.49 and $12.99, respectively, they were truly bargains! We'll definitely be...
