The ice cream is fine, if that's all you get. Other Dairy Queen restaurants are typically pretty good. The food at this particular Dairy Queen is always horrible. Most DQ's cook the burgers fresh when ordered. This place does not. When I first looked at the burger patty itself I thought maybe they were trying out a new veggie burger and they would give you a real one afterwards. Nope just an overcooked dried out patty. Not good. I've had similar experiences there in the past, but thought I'd give them another chance. They blew it. Also, I found it wierd that the employees use a table in the dinning area as a break room. We were there about a half hour last Wensday. A table by the front window had employees sitting there, apparently on break the entire time. One would get up walk away, and another employee would walk over to take their place. Having 3-4 employees on hanging out in the dinning area during dinner hours just seemed unprofessional. Especially when the interior is pretty dirty. They should spend less time "Chillin' out" and spend more time cleaning. There are enough warning signs out in the open that makes you wonder what kind of things go on behind the scenes. Plenty of other choices in the area, drive past the Dairy Queen across the street from Lynch Field, to...
Read moreI'll only eat Blizzards here, they're amazing and I love how many flavors they offer. When it comes to food, I only like the chicken tenders and maybe the burgers. The fries are too big in my opinion so there's not enough crispiness and they tasted weird. You get a random piece of toast with your chicken finger basket, seems like just a filler to me because it's pretty pricy. I couldn't order just 6 chicken tender, only 2 or 4 alone. Otherwise they'd have to ring up 2 and 4 separately which would be the same price of the 6 pc tender basket with the fries and drink. They are very generous when it comes to sizes of Blizzards. The coupons on the app are definitely worth the savings. The drive thru is very inconveniently spaced. it has two speed bumps around a tight bend after ordering and then you have to turn sharply out of the drive thru when done in order not to hit the side entrance walkway curb directly in front of the second window. We got popcorn shrimp here once and it was absolutely terrible. The shrimp small with mainly breading. The cup-fections are pretty good. There's also a tacky tip jar always sitting on the edge of the...
Read moreTrue lack of experience and common sense. We went through drive through - ordered 2 blizzards. There were 2 cars ahead of us. First car pulled away. Next car was asked to pull forward to complete order. When we got to the window the employees had no record of our order, so they took it again. IN an attempt to figure out what happened, we see the 2 employees from the drive through window going outside to the car that had pulled ahead. After a discussion, the customers in the car ahead handed back to the employees 2 large blizzards. The employees proceeded to come back to the drive through window with the same 2 blizzards (that had been in the car head) and take the spoons out (Probably because the customers in the car ahead had eaten from them). The employees put these same blizzards in a bag to hand to us. YUCK. Needless to say we refused them and asked the employees to make new ones. An employee should never serve a customer any food item that has been touched or in contact with another customer. How unsanitary. Totally blame management for lack of training...
