Contempo Artistries Salon — Local services in Greensburg

I recently got a cut and a perm at Contempo Artistries after asking for Salon recommendations on Facebook. I ended up choosing them because one of their stylists, Sophie, personally reached out to me with links to photos of her work. Due to a cancellation, she was able to get me in right away. All of the ladies at the salon were friendly and professional, and seemed as if they genuinely enjoyed their jobs (or at least as much as you can when working on the day of your local high school's prom lol). The only reason I rated four stars instead of five, is because the process took a little longer than estimated, which wasn't really the stylists fault, but I did have plans later that day and it started to stress me out a little. However, since I was there for a while, I was able to observe several cuts, color jobs, and stylings, and every single one looked fantastic. I've even received several compliments on my new curly hair within the last 24 hours. I would definitely recommend Contempo Artistires, and I'm sure I'll be returning...

I found this place online and chose it because they had a lot of different coloring options and the option for a consult appointment which seemed great for me because I’ve never gotten my hair dyed before. I will say all of the staff was super friendly and welcoming! But I am really not happy with the final result. I explained to that I wanted to go blond but just wasn’t sure the proper techniques to ask for. I thought we were on the same page after the consult. In the end (and $200 later) my hair looks pretty much the same except it is super streaky in the front.

Edit- yes they do offer complimentary fixes if you aren’t satisfied which is great. Unfortunately for me I travel for work and was off to Alaska for a couple weeks before I could have done anything about it but that’s poor timing on my part. After being gone for several years it was well worth my return. I am extremely happy with my results for a third time in a row. I had the privilege to have both experienced Angie and Jenn and both are amazing stylists! My usual stylist is Jenn and she has an utter talent for "creative cuts". She takes the time to understand your hair and she meticulously creates beautiful cuts. And goes beyond and above detailing after she makes the shape, which I've found in most salons is rarely done with such execution. And can I just say, the shampoo experience is off the charts worth it. She is so easy to talk too yet stays in her zone to create a great hair cut and style. I have also had balayage done by her and although pricey, it turned out great. If your looking for a 20 minute cut, go elsewhere, this is how a salon should be.
