Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Henderson

10/03/2025. I've lived here just over a year now and thought I would finally try Applebee's in town. I walked in at about 4:00 p.m. no crowd. It took right at 45 minutes to get my meal as the ticket printed said 4:03 it was like 4:48 when it came out. Seems awful long unless that's the norm. I ordered a petite sirloin. (6oz) I asked for a loaded baked potato but It came out smashed potatoes. The lady who took my order says you get two sides and of course after she mentioned what you could get I asked for a salad with ranch as the second side and then she stated there's an upcharge on the loaded potato and salad. ???.. I said okay, but was confused if my dinner as she stated came with two sides so why the upcharge?. And of course I got a sweet tea to drink. I sat at the bar. I was the only one at the bar. I was here for a total of what looks like an hour. I was never offered refills on my sweet tea. I don't know if they forgot about my order and then tried to reheat it and then bring it out to me but I should have looked at the menu (but this is typically a go-to for me when I go to a restaurant). My total bill was over $27 and to me that felt kind of steep. Anyways it looked like they wanted me out of there so I paid the bill put it on the bar table and left and as a military veteran and resident of this town I will not be back to this Applebee's because to grade thier service its definitely an F. It was not good at all and when you get the notion that they would prefer you not do business with them then I won't and I will...

I am sorry, but the speakers to sound system were busted and we asked for the music to be turned down because my 84 year old Mother has hearing aides, it was turned down for one song 🤬. Did we not specify for the duration of our meal? My mother ordered a medium well steak meaning a little pink, she recieved a very well done steak, the server offer to take it back and bring her a new order, when the steak finally came back it was still mooing and bleeding on the plate. We then had to involve the manager at the servers direction because he offered to take the inedible steak off of the bill and my Mother agreed that would be fine. We had to ask for the music to be turned down again. My mother then paid the bill and the server took off with her $$$ and the receipt and came back with her change. He then counted out her money to her and turned around and took off leaving no receipt. So checking her change without a receipt my mother could not tally up the cost of the meal and the change recieved from the server to equal the amount she gave the server for the price of the meal. My mother had to once again wait for the server to call the manager to produce...

This used to be one of our favorite places, but it's just really gone downhill. Tonight we waited at our table 15-20 minutes for someone to even ask us what we want to drink. It wasn't super busy either. Several employees walked past us, but never acknowledged our attempts to get their attention. Finally, we left and gave our business to another restaurant. It's been awhile since we've been to Applebee's because our last few times have been bad experiences. We've had cold pasta (not just not warm but actually cold) forgotten sides, wrongly cooked steaks, and neglectful servers. My favorite dish was the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken. The last few times they either left the bacon off, forgot the honey pepper sauce, or a few times it was disgustingly cold. So we stopped coming for a bit. This was our 'give it another try' visit. I hate this, because this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. It was consistent with great food and good service. But for at least a year it's just been 'decent' at best.
