Bodacious Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Henderson

Everyone is polite a barbecue joint that don't have pulled pork all's they have is beef and they also have sausage etc but no pork!?! ...The potato salad is very good! .. the baked beans are way to spicey hot They must put cayenne pepper in them there's no flavor whatsoever it's just hot and beans... I asked the young man if I could have a container to put some pickles or relish in and he said there's ziploc bags on the counter if I wanted a Ziploc bag I wouldn't have asked for a container!.... And I just don't like wasting my breath on people so I went without what I wanted as I drive truck a baggie full of relish or pickles does not work. The price was high and the sandwich was fairly tasteful but no more than the 3 rating a sandwich small order of potato salad small order of hot beans and a bottle of coke 19 bucks! So if you take your wife and two kids you're looking at almost a $80 lunch by the time your said and done!.... Did bodacious BBQ in Kilgore on20 is much better!!!!!!!!... And not just for the reason they have pork they have baked beans that are...

We were visiting family and stopped there for lunch in mid March. Our daughter ordered a Sloppy "Joe" type sandwich. She said it tasted off/bad so I and my husband told the server/cashier person and she said, "okay". Then walked away. So I took it up to the counter and the manager said, "So, what do you want me to do?" I was shocked. So I just left the food on the counter and walked back to our table, told my husband then we both walked back up to the counter. The cashier/server was so rude and I asked for the manager. He again said, "So." "What do you want me to do?" My husband said, " Well normally when the food isn't good customers are offered their money back or a replacement meal." The manager said rather snarkily, " Yeah, we don't do that, there's nothing wrong with the food." I was absolutely shocked. What establishment treats customers like that?! We left and definitely won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone ever. If I could give a negative...

I desperately want to write something positive, if I intend to be honest, I can't.

The men's bathroom toilet apparently overflowed at some point. You didn't need hip waders, but it was close.

The guy incessantly whacking away at the chopped brisket created a raucous noise making hard to concentrate or converse with the guy attempting to take our order.

We received our food quickly, BUT the food quality was lacking. The baked potato was undercooked and room temperature at best. The sliced BBQ chicken breast was salty and dry. The brisket was good, but the ribs had been around awhile and were fairly dry.

I will have to add this establishment to my "one and done" list.

The poke-pocalypse had a HUGE negative impact on eating establishments. Employee's have forgotten they are the liability and patrons are the asset. No patrons, no job. And that's all I've got to...
