Cancun Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Henderson

(NEWER UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM OG THIS SECTION) Our entire family has been eating here often since it first opened because of the great customer service care and decent priced food that was delicious. I have noticed some changes over the past few months that are now kind of discouraging us to come or order to go as we sometimes do. #1 I understand inflation (but that's why we came here frequently), but the prices are creeping up a bunch slowly & not as easy for a family of 5 to do as often. Now we only come when kids eat free (but they still aren't fully charging free like they use too drinks are $4 alone and you sometimes have to be persistent or ask to even get a refill (depends on waiter at that time) most the time we have no issues with others that are normal waiters. One weekend, our ticket was still $60 for 5, and 2 kids on kids eat free day. I feel like someone is intentionally overcharging to pocket or something bc that can't be right. #2 They used to be so friendly, but most newer servers make you feel like a hassle or seem put out if they have to do any extra and aren't as friendly and personal anymore. I hope you all work on this because we would rather come here than any other local Mexican food restaurant. #3 I feel like the cooks are not. all following the menu or cooking the same across the board. We used to get plenty of meat or seafood, and now its less for more money, and sometimes the same dishes we order taste different or they shorten the amount of meat to the dish. It's even funny at times. I really hope you all work on these minor issues because we we definitely want to continue coming but money is tight and we like consistency, good prices, friendly environment, & the hometown atmosphere it use to. have on every visit, as we really enjoy Cancun!

UPDATE February 2024: Service from staff has gotten MUCH BETTER, and we have had no issues after coming back numerous times almost every weekend when it's sports...

The a/c was broke, which I understand they could not help. Be having man was there working on it before we left but when we went outside to try and be cooler the flies were terrible. So bad you really couldn't keep them off of your food like 25 or 30 at all times and more at times. The tables were all dirty and the help was very unfriendly. We didn't ask them to move us we moved ourselves packed our own stuff and everything but the girl will still just very unfriendly. The only time she said anything really was when she would speak another language to another worker which is very rude to start with. When we got our food we had to go get our own silverware because she didn't bring any or napkins and was taking other orders to other tables when we went in to get our own silverware. She never even came back to check on us not one time we even had to go get her own check and the place was almost empty so they were not busy. If it wasn't for the margaritas the whole place would have sucked. But even the Margaritas could not make up for the service it was very poor. Have no plans to go back at this time I believe there is another Mexican restaurant right down the road that I will go...

Eaten here since I was a kid. After the experience I had tonight, I will never step foot in there ever again. Half of our to-go order was messed up, we ordered 2 orders of nachos. One of the two were correct. Mind you to drive back to get the order corrected means that the other nacho will be soggy by the time we actually get home to eat. Manager refused to remake the whole order that was a mess up on their end with the exact words “I’m not remaking the whole order because we didn’t mess up the other nacho”. You would think that to save a customer that has been eating their since the restaurant opened... management would want to save that but no, they are okay with seeing a life long customer go to a different restaurant entirely.
