This lil gem can be found at Audubon Mill Park... I got a 🔐 lock (with a key) and intended to have it engraved... only on such short notice, I was struggling to find someone - so I found an engraving tool at the store and gave it 'the ole college try'... my hubs & I snuck away, for a much-needed, fairly overdue 'date night' #ParentsOf5Probs

Anyways, my hubs & I like exploring, and a few months ago I had mentioned that I had never actually been to Henderson's downtown riverfront--- so I suggest today was the today, let's go check it out.

This is one set of pictures of many for my little guy. He is 5 and has level 3 ASD and isn't very enthusiastic about new places. Most of the parks are usually accommodating unless there are other kids and their parents. He doesn't think the same way other kids do so it makes it difficult to try and explain why he acts a certain way but at the river front we are alone for the most part and he can be himself without judgement or fear. A wonderful place to visit in Henderson, Kentucky that's full of history and scenic views. Located on the river in downtown Henderson you're only steps away from the river walk, shopping, and dining. Only about a block away you'll also find one of the best Bed and Breakfast stays in the state. L&N Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully furnished, charming B&B that was originally built in 1885. If it's food you want Hometown Roots restaurant is just up the street from Audubon Mill Park and has some of the best southern comfort food you'll find in Kentucky.
