Medina's Mexican Store — Restaurant in Henderson

I stopped in on 3/6/2023 and picked up an order of carnitas to go. When the order came, I was stunned at how heavy the container was. When I opened the container, I was awestruck by the amount of food in the box. It had a HUGE helping of carnitas, heaping servings of rice and beans (whole, not refried), fresh veggies and cilantro, four flour tortillas, and a very hot sauce. The food was all delicious. It was obviously very fresh, and prepared by someone who knew what they were doing. There was enough for two days of lunch, and I shared a little bit with a coworker. The food is GREAT! It's fresh and definitely has different flavors from the other restaurants that serve mexican food. This place used to be a gas station but has been converted. Seats around 25 to 30 inside.

We had guacamole dip and chips. They don't serve cheese sauce here. The guac was fresh and very tasty.

Excellent authentic Mexican food at great prices. The space is a little cramped, but it just adds to the experience of authenticity. This hasn't been polished up to sell mediocre food to gringos, it's a real place with real food that real people go to. Not sure if they have it all week but they had menudo, pozole, and caldo de res as well. The menudo was especially popular with the local crowd, so I'll have to try that next time.
