New Day Cafe — Restaurant in Henderson

To me one of the most important things about a restaurant is the employees. And New Day Cafe is at the top of the list. When my favorite waitress left Twin Peaks I quit going there. When I followed her to New Day, she says stalking, I say following, (Tomato/Tomoto) it became clear that I had found a haven of great foods. (and people). Now I will admit, I am the kind of guy that has one meal I get in each of the restaurants I visit. On the other hand my wife rarely gets the same thing twice and tries everything on the menu over time. New Day is my place for the Ortega Beef melt. Now it's true, I thought Ortega was the name of a foreign car, as in Toyota Ortega or something, but it turns out it is a mild pepper and this sandwich is fantastic. My wife has ordered about a dozen different things and loved everything but the Fish and chips and she already has a favorite place for those so all is good. If you like IHOP, you'll like this. Found it on my American Airlines AAdvantage Dining site. The coffee is strong and good. My homestyle potatoes were delicious and the peppers and onions were fresh. The kids pancake breakfast came with 3 4" pancakes (she asked for the chocolate chips on the side instead of in them) and a strip of bacon for just $3. My daughter (after a miraculous day playing in snow) looked them so much that she ate two orders! Bacon was perfectly crispy. The service was nice and when a whole 20oz kid hot chocolate went everywhere, they handled it nicely and quickly. Two kid breakfasts, scrambled eggs, home fries, hot chocolate, and coffee...

I recently visited the New Day Cafe and had the most amazing experience! I couldn't resist trying their California Benedict, and let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic. The portion size was just right, leaving me feeling satisfied and content. But what made my visit truly special was the exceptional service from our server, Mario. He was not only genuine and attentive, but he went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was top-notch. And guess what? I even had the pleasure of meeting Chef Mario, who was incredibly personable and took the time to chat with me. It's these personal touches that make New Day Cafe a truly memorable and delightful...
