(6/5/22 6:19pm) Let me start by saying my dad is going through chemo for lung cancer. His throat was bothering him and he asked me to grab him a small grape slush to soothe it. He wanted a small specifically, because the chemo makes it difficult for him finish any food or drinks; everything tastes like gasoline and lack of appetite. I arrive and order a small grape slush. When I finally get to the window, I am charged $4.54 and given a reese’s blast. I notice immediately and say it’s the wrong drink. I repeat again I want a grape slush. They get right on it, and after about 3 mins they hand another drink to me. They didn’t even offer to pay me the difference, I had to ask for it. The new drink came out to 3.57. I get my change, drive to drop the drink off to my dad. He takes a sip… it’s a grape cream slush. Ice cream is just going to make his throat worse. I drive all the way back to sonic. I ask for the manager. She doesn’t offer to comp anything she just gives me an actually grape slush in a medium instead of a small, which my dad only drank about half, because chemo and all. She told me to keep the cream slush which ended up in the trash. Very disappointed in the service at this location. My poor dad just wanted something blended with ice to soothe his throat that the chemo doesn’t make taste like gasoline, and I wasted more gas, money, and time having to drive...
Read moreAmazing food and service. Our waitress was awesome! We walked in ahead of a big group. They may have thought we were with them as there was one person already there staking her claim on tables and directing the 2 waitress around. I thought she might have been a manager. But she wasn't. She seemed to be demanding all their attention and as people began to arrive after us the customer was adding directing people where to sit and pretty much taking over. More flooded in and we still stood there. Then the waitress, made eye contact and said..."are you with them?" We said no and she quickly got us seated. She gave us a second with the menu and returned with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. I told her we were new here so we needed a little more time. She mentioned that we would want to get our order in before the big group did. She wasn't trying to rush us. I think she just realized oh dang, these people were here first and the group kind of all rolled past us and maybe felt bad they'd assumed we were with the big group. Anyhow. We were able to give our order pretty fast and they got everything to us amazingly fast. I know it's because she must have let them know ours needed to be put in first. She was a great waitress. Very attentive, checking with us and refilling drinks etc. She had a fabulous air about her and made us feel welcomed. I wish I'd...
Read more*Since I haven't ordered a meal at Sonic since 1981, I am not qualified to critique their burgers, fries, hotdogs, or anything savory for that matter, but I can definitely say a word or two about Sonic's milkshakes. *If you have never sampled a Sonic milkshake, you haven't tasted the best milkshake on this continent (and that includes 41 of 49 Continental United States and 5 Canadian provinces, not to mention Newfoundland and Greenland). *But seeing as how taste is totally subjective, my idea of the best milkshake on the continent may not even be the best milkshake in the room for someone else. *So, let's just say I highly recommend their thick, sweet, smooth, creamy, milkshakes as well as Sonic's willingness to prepare your milkshake with just about any combination of flavors and foodstuffs they have in the kitchen (as evidenced by my bff's favorite ~ the peanut butter and bacon vanilla shake). *The coup de gras (or the cherry on top of the milkshake) would be the nostalgia that Sonic awakens the moment you pull into the drive-in and see the teenage carhops scurrying to and from the cars. The only things missing this evening are the roller skates, but I swear it even smells like 1959!! *One last comment ~ Milkshakes are (Wow!)...
