UPDATED REVIEW!!!
I frequent this Starbucks regularly because of the environment. While no restaurant or coffee shop is perfect, the friendly, engaging staff makes each visit worth the stay. Every time I visit, I feel like I'm at home among friends. Yeah, the food is expensive and probably not worth the money I pay for it (it IS Starbucks after all) but this Starbucks is more than just flavored coffee and overpriced pastries. It's a place to hang out, meet with friends, conduct business or even just get out of the house and this location shows that by the way the employees make each customer feel at home. I feel like THAT far out weights any issues with the floor not being swept after messy patrons leave crumbs and trash on the floor.
Even though the bathrooms may run out of paper towels and people sometimes make a mess of the condiments bar, these guys and gals working at this Starbucks do an awesome job and put everything they have into making every customer's experience the best it can be.
Thanks for being awesome, guys!!! :^)
UPDATE:
I wrote this review years ago. It's not as great as it was back then. They've extended the bar and removed most of the seating. They've replaced all of the chairs with chairs intentionally designed to rattle and screech across the floor when you move them. It feels less like a coffee shop and more like a filthy, cold fast food restaurant. I talked to management and it's intentional because corporate doesn't want people hanging it in the coffee shop. (What the crap ...?!?!) 🤨 I absolutely ADORE Brent and Jess and Kat and all of the other managers and their support staff, but this place is NOT what it once was. Any Starbucks this size with this much traffic needs to be more like a coffee shop and less like a grab-and-go coffee stand. If you just want some grab-and-go sugary drink to pour down your gullet, go to Dutch Bros.
UPDATE: It's still bad. Now, things are WAY too expensive, and you can't even get water without buying something. I get it! They need to get rid of the homeless people, and the rest of us...
Read moreJust had a little PTSD moment about this place and decided to finally speak up about it. When I was in college (around 2011) I had a bad night sleeping prior to a midterm exam so I decided to treat myself to some coffee and studying at this location. As a Guatemalan-born coffee lover, they had a special reserve harvest bag of beans for sale and I bought it. So the cashier asked me if I wanted my receipt after paying and I said "na, unless I need it?"
Fast forward to getting wrapping up my study session, I noticed the store manager standing near the entrance and kinda feel her staring at me. Weird enough but ok... So I get up to leave and I felt her kinda grow tense and decided to walk right up to her and ask her the best method of storing my coffee beans to preserve as long as possible.
Then she hits me with it. She accused me of shoplifting said coffee bag and waited 30 minutes to finally confront me of her suspicion. It was the most embarrassing moment of my life and she actually walked me to the register to ask me who sold it to me because she "already asked her employees if I paid for it"
Well here comes the gentleman that closed me out earlier back from lunch to confirm that I in fact paid for it. Even with confirmation of payment, she offered no apology whatsoever and I was so bothered I failed my first exam ever. I ended up having to go through the ADA to get a retest granted. He asked if two days was enough and I agreed. I passed the test. Go figure.
I dislike Starbucks so much to this day that I haven't gone. The other day, my employer bought everyone Starbucks (not this location) and of all orders, guess who's was wrong? Mine... So given my PTSD, I have decided to clear my mind and speak my voice to at least get this one out my head. (Starbucks as a whole sucks and used child labor...
Read moreI've come to this location quite often and their focus is "Drive Thru". I get that fast food chains have a time goal when it comes to drive thru but yesterday was a little upsetting. I ordered just a green ice tea with sugar free vanilla syrup. I stood there watching how fast these guys were at being a team to assist with the drive thru line. It was amazing. A gentleman came in behind me, ordered and got his two drinks before I even got my one drink. Apparently my cup was out of line on a different counter. It's kinda upsetting I'll admit. For someone so loyal to Starbucks for so many years and it took about 15mins, I looked at my app as to the time I ordered to about when my cup got to my hand. For an ice tea. I just have to say, your drive thru goals are surely important but don't forget your guests/customers who walk in too. We come in for a smile and greeting and ask to be treated as if we were your drive thru customers too. Maybe you can set a time goal for your customers who walk in that enjoy to be more personal with you. If not, I'll just go through drive thru next time. We can do better Starbucks. I hope my next experience will be an improvement. Overall, this location is usually on it, friendly and seem welcoming when I go in to order. Very clean, sometimes the trash bins are full by the door and looks like it wasnt taken out for the...
