La Michoacana — Restaurant in Hendersonville

I've been looking for this food truck for a full year and finally found it!

Last year, I ate here because it was conveniently located nearby when I was very hungry and looking for food. And I was so impressed with the food, I fully intended to return for more.

But then I couldn't remember where it was!

My home is in Hendersonville. So, I searched everywhere around Hendersonville never thinking I should check Flat Rock. 🤦‍♂️ Then, just this weekend, I drove past it and instantly recognized it and, of course, I stopped in for a steak burrito...which was just as good as I'd remembered.

I'm actually pretty confident I've driven by it since last year not realizing it but what's important is I will never again not know how to find this food truck.

Absolutely delicious! We had steak tacos, shrimp tacos, and steak quesadilla. The mild sauce was just a little bit spicy, but not overpowering. Their hot sauce was very hot, but a delicious flavor! Everyone enjoyed the generous filling of their tacos and quesadilla. The shrimp had an amazing seasoning that was incredibly enjoyable. Since we went in the evening, it was a little difficult to see from the main road. But, our GPS let us straight to the location. There is a little driveway that will take you right up to the food truck. They have picnic tables if you want to sit and dine there, and it did seem like they were getting a lot of call ahead orders. I knew this truck stop would be a great place for me to get the tacos I wanted. It was a couple that owns it and they were super sweet and nice. Price was very reasonable for the amount of food in the taco. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit dry. The red sauce that seem to coat the chicken really didn't have any flavor. There was so much cilantro, half of it fell off or I took some off. I don't want to say the food was horrible because it wasn't. It just needs some fine-tuning. I would definitely like go back again and give it a second chance. I ordered to go, but I would definitely sit there and eat. They had tables that were very clean. Head napkins and condiments...
