Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Probably the rudest working bunch in Hendersonville. Not all are bad, but a good portion are fairly entitled. Not giving the customer a moment to speak or respond to their questions was the beginning to this experience. Some customers need a second to gather their thoughts when asked certain questions...common sense and common courtesy as to when to reask a customer a question should be an easygoing task. To rush someone into completing their order is fairly unreasonable. You're on the clock, use it as your moment to breath from the fast pace environment.

The part that truly is an issue, is receiving an order no matter the cost should atleast be examined for accuracy and appearance. My last order was a blatant attempt to be funny, or make a statement of bad intentions. Each item purchased ( not the drinks of course)were upside down. The order contained a large sized popcorn chicken placed upside down with some pieces scatter on the bottom. Stacked neatly on top of that and upside down was the first order of fries with a couple scattered along the bottom with the chicken. The second order of fries were placed right next to the others, "ironically" positioned exactly the same way upside down. Once i pulled the fries out carefully there was popcorn chicken stuffed in both fry containers. After managing this fairly moderate issue, there was an odd feeling that added to the conclusion of their deliberatness...both ranch cups had been opened. It had nicely lathered the containers and parts of the bottom of the bag that were covered up by the scattered items.

A vast majority here, are creating an environment that make it difficult for customers to consider giving a generous tip. When you prove your worth, by being polite and considerate, and attempting to bring out an order correctly it may be rewarding.

I won't be returning for any Door dash order. They never like to give us proper bags for extremely hot food. I was told they don't do drink holders for ice, or 2 or less drinks. I did an order today where there were four large cups of ice, and they refused to give me a drink holder. I was told "Oh, you can just lay it somewhere in your car. We don't do drink holders for ice." Well, just because you don't care about the customer's drinks and food does not mean that I don't care. I do. Mind you, this is the only sonic location that I have picked up from door dash that pulls this stunt. The location on Nashville Pike, and the two locations in Gallatin give us proper bags. Pro tip : You should put the coneys, and the chili cheese tots in a proper bag like the other locations to prevent burns and to reduce the risk of spillage.

Edit : Worst sonic location honestly. Me and my boyfriend went through the wp to order. We got two items from the 1.99 menu. The first time we did was great. The second time our wraps were literally half the size they were supposed to be. That's very scummy. I went to the sonic off main street (the one heading to gallatin) and our wraps were full sized. Five points... 1.) Their food isn't what it used to be; the quality has gone down. They don't claim their Coney hot dogs are made from premium beef, or even made from beef at all. It would be a major selling point if they were. For all we know they're likely made from "mechanically separated chicken / turkey and pork."

2.) Update: Sonic now sells a premium beef hot dog 🌭 in the "normal" size, but not Coney sized. It's about time - thanx!

3.) As for the hamburgers...excessively greasy! (I guess they would call it "juicy.")

4.) I wish they sold their chili by the cup. It's the best item on their menu. Of course, that raises the "is this made from beef or what?" question again.

5.) Finally, this location, and likely all national locations no longer offers family sized side dishes. If you ask, they'll try to sell you two large ones. Less food for a higher price.
