Three stars due to lackluster service. There seemed to be a staffing situation as I was waited on by 3 different people. The first showed me to my seat, brought my drink & took my order. The second brought out my food (which isn't unusual considering food runners are a thing). It was after I got my food that the employees seemed to disappear. Not even appearing at my table to ask about drink refills (I would have enjoyed at least one refill). I was on the verge of hunting someone down for my bill when a third server saw me peering around and approached my table. By this time I was getting anxious to leave. The server brought me a bill, but it wasn't mine. There were three entrees and an appetizer on the bill, I had one entree and an a la carte tamale. The server caught the mistake within just a few minutes and brought another bill, but this time I was charged $2.50 for sweet tea when I was drinking water. I had to wait another five minutes before the server came back around to my table. The place wasn't busy as I was one of three tables at that time, it was around one o'clock on a Wednesday and I ordered from the lunch menu hoping to save a few minutes. Lucky for me I wasn't on a tight schedule that day, but my experience will deter me from going back. However, the food was steaming hot and well seasoned. I also noticed that instead of pouring cheese over my chimichanga (resulting in a cheese swimming pool on a plate, which I'm not a fan of) they put it in a ramekin on the side. Nice touch. I guess what I'm saying is, get your...
Read moreI am not sure where all the rave reviews came from. We were a one and done customer here. the only positive is we got our food very quickly. however, food had no flavor, I make a more Mexican taste at home. the place was so ridiculously hot I was getting sick to my stomach. over 90 degrees outside, FIX YOUR AIR CONDITIONER! my strawberry margarita was more than $3 more than my boyfriend's regular one, and for what? a splash of flavor from a bottle that costs four dollars retail. the guac was average at best. when we finally got our check, that we had to ask for, the server stood up front b.s.ing with the guy running the register for more than 10 minutes. We finally went to her with the money. if we are supposed to walk it up ourselves, dont give us a little tray with the ticket like they do when the plan to return to retrieve your money. Rancho is our favorite local Mexican restaurant and cinco de mayo doesn't even come remotely close. We won't be back. taco bell tastes better, and that's no where...
Read moreI went when the place first opened. It was my first visit to this chain I was excited as this one is closest to my house and it's my favorite chain restaurant. Got there and it was shockingly not busy for the time of day it was. But to my disappointment this is the WORST Cinco De Mayo in Nashville. Service was super SLOW even though it wasn't even busy. Some of the things we ordered (extras we added) were not brought with the food.We had to request it again after we got our food, because our server forgot, and obviously didn't write it on our ticket when we placed our order. The tortilla chips were stale both batches we tried. Food wasn't very good, it was really dry and bland. It was our first visit and our last! I will continue to go out of my way to the Brentwood location or 2nd choice the Hermitage location as I have been going to both for over 15 years now without disappointment, service is always awesome, and food is always...
