Waffle House — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Oh boy, let me tell you about the fella who thinks he is in charge. About two weeks ago, I was asked not to Vape in the store. Inconvenient, but sure thing. No problem, I didn't think another thing of it. But today, the star of our experience is a very important young man named Tommy. Apparently, this Waffle House is HIS restaurant and if given the opportunity, he will let you know. Well, I had brought my Vape with me as I always do and, not thinking, I had hit it at the table. Tommy and I made eye contact and I remembered not to use it in the store. I did not use it again! About 10 minutes later, Tommy came up close to the table and just stood there for about 5 minutes. After this extremely awkward period of time, he tells me that if I use the vape again, he will throw me out of the restaurant. This would have been all well and good, but he then proceeded to make this point again and again and again. I asked him several times if he was done and gave no resistance until his ridicule went on for far too long. My office manager was also with me, and both of us were blown away by the outright disrespect and obvious desire for conflict. He went on to threaten that I would not be allowed back to the restaurant. Again, I was not arguing the point but he continued his verbal assault until I felt it necessary to ask him if he felt like he needed to make the point yet again. I have been eating at this Waffle house for more than 30 years, but after this interaction, I will never patron another Waffle House as long as I live. I don't know if this Tommy fella is a key employee to this location or not, but I wouldn't have him represent any company I was involved with....

It's terribly difficult for me to rate a Waffle House 5-stars because, well, it's a Waffle House. This is a rare exception to my rule of rating restaurants of this type above four stars, and it is strictly based on rating this location against their own brand of restaurants in the nearby area. There are only 2 in this area worth anything close to a four star rating, the rest sadly fall short because of drama, the overall food quality, the delivery of service, cleanliness of their lot/ lobby/ restaurant/ kitchen/ and their bathrooms. While the majority of my experience with this location is with the late night shift, my daytime experience was close enough to excellent to encourage me to go ahead and pull the trigger on writing a review. I am one of those customers that knows how to call out my own order, and I don't really have to because the staff here calls my order when they see me pull in and has it on the grill before I get to my seat. To me, that is way beyond any of my other Waffle House experiences. Their lot is kept as clean as they can keep it, the lobby and dining area are always in order and clean, and their kitchen in one of the cleanest ones in the area. I've only been to the restrooms once, and it was clean. I'm told that's a rare experience, but I trust my own observations more than other people. I want to thank the crew of this location for hanging in there through this very difficult age of the KungFlu, and for acting like the kind of human beings you would want...

I'm the Waffle House Queen..I'll go to Waffle house Christmas Day..That's how committed I am..The waffles ..always GREAT! The ☕ Coffee..Well its the best.To me it puts Starbucks to SHAME and If you just like COFFEE..This is the place to get it..Try a piece of pie with it. Get it to go..Heck with the pie..to Go in a huge cup..its Less than a small starbucks..seriously..My favorite breakfast..the raisin toast..eggs..oh and I get them HERE sunny side up..and THEY cook them perfect! And crisp yummy bacon..And a waffle for desert..If I can't finish..well I can get a to-go box..It'll save..And tip these waiters and waitresses ppl..They work hard..I have never been disappointed..especially at This wafflehouse..But really none of them.I have had food poisining and MSG poisining so bad at other places..but never waffle house..And FAST..really..you can't eat at A burger restaurant much quicker..If you want a burger..🍔 Omg..The BEST! Grilled with grilled onions..Cheese..Old Skool! Yuummy..My ONLY disappointment..I like fries. They've never had fries...only the old skool grill ..so hash browns..I get salad sometimes. And actually the salad is awesome! Nothing ..even the steak..nothing disappointed me..Its just not a wine and dine place.its a grill...
