Red Rooster Cafe — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Why this place is rated so high I'll never understand? Its ok at best. This is my about fifth time coming here trying to give it a chance. Food gets cold quick. Waitresses never bring any napkins over or pay attention to you having to wipe pants. Small portions. No matter what you order. You get twice as much food at any waffle house! For 6 dollars. Here you spend with coffee about 11 with small portions and a small coffee. Sometimes waitresses ignore you ten minutes at a time. The taste is ok 3 out of 5 average food. I guess when you live in a small town 54000 population with dentures and above 40 you might think this tastes great?. I am from big cities this is not great. The interior is bland and decrepit. The service is bad everytime. I expect to get food that I can't make in a cheap pan at home and great customer service in today's tough market! Go to monels in berry hill south nashville for awesome tasting breakfast and nice building. Go to puckets general for amazing portions and same price its worth the drive downtown nashville! I can get more food and better taste at waffle house tastes sad. And better...

Second time in a row that we’ve been here and they got our order completely wrong. We waited over 20 min for our breakfast only for it to be wrong. We won’t be coming back here.

After seeing the reply from the owner of this company, I am very glad that I won’t be coming back here. As a response to what they said below, my wife said to head outside and get the car so we could leave. Your response is extremely unprofessional and rude. You gave us poor service twice in a row and your reply to my reviews reflects on the type of business you run. But, since I’m apparently perfect, I guess you can’t ever live up to my expectations. Judging someone’s marriage is highly unacceptable and really poor management. You could have simply said we are sorry and we hope you’ll come back and make things better in the future.

I gave this a 3 because the food is good for the most part. But as a LONG time patron of this restaurant I have watched it decline in the past 8 months. The owner is not there during business hours and if he is he never comes around and talks to the customers. The previous owner was always talking to his customers. They have lost almost every single dedicated server they have had for YEARS recently. We appreciated how they took pride in their service and took time to get to know their regulars. Those servers knew exactly what my husband and I ate and drank. It has lost that well oiled, staff appreciated, family run establishment feel. My husband and I spent lots of money in this restaurant for years! I have witnessed kitchen staff get mad because something didn’t go right. My husband and I have decided not to go back. Just my opinion as a previous long time...
