Sonny's Main Street Restaurant — Restaurant in Henniker

First timers here dining in as a family for dinner midweek. Lots of menu items available here and the menu is like reading a book it's almost hard to read off the wall. Luckily they also had paper menus available. We all ordered different plates so we had an interesting variety of food coming our way. We were surprised to see how big this place was as it doesn't look so large from the outside but there is plenty of seating for many people. There was table service available as well and our food was brought out to us by more than one staff member. Speaking of staff, this place seemed to have no issue with staffing on the night of our visit. At least 6 people on for dinner. The only small problem was they were all quite young and seemed to be unsupervised. Though the staff did great at making our order and bringing it to us, I have to say it was an inappropriate scene for a family restaurant. The staff on hand were very much consumed in their own personal lives and gossiping with many vulgar words. The young staff did not seem too concerned with anyone hearing how they spoke to one another and it was just not appropriate. But I really did like this place and I have to believe that because it's so hard to hire and train that they are doing thr best they can with who's available. I would like to try this restaurant again...

I have been going here for years, I live right down the road. This is the 3rd time I got a sub that had one slice thick across a 10 in to 12 in sub. That's 3 slices of ham on a large sub. And I was told 20 minutes and it was soggy. I am the world's most non complaining person in the world. I have dealt with alot with fast food and local restaurants ect. But this time was probably my last. Couldn't eat the second half. Not enough meat to make up for all the ingredients I like in my sub. But my fiances turkey club.... looked amazing. But not mine. Always ask for extra meat or your gonna be a vegan for dinner or lunch. My sandwich is the one on the left. The sandwich on thre right is great. Even different lettuce. My lettuce was browning and looked like it was going bad. This is my second bad review out of 20+ restaurants I have eaten at in 4 years. But I had to do it. Don't want anyone dealing with what I had. I thought it was employees, but i can see now its not. Good luck to you all. We had to tell the girl at the register 4 times our order and she repeated wrong the first 3 x. I thought she got it on the 4th but when we got the food she obviously didn't. Our requests were nothing out of the ordinary - 2 bacon cheeseburgers, one with no condiments but all the veggies. One with no mayo or tomato but everything else. One cheese burger with ketchup and 3 shakes. I had no veggies, my grandson had so much mayo he had to not eat the top bun and still had to scrape mayo off the rest. The cheeseburger was OK. We didn't get our shakes. When they finally got back with our shakes, I explained what had happened and how we repeated our order 4x. The woman just says So you are all set? I guess we have to be all set but we are not happy. She just walked away. I had a to go order from there a few months ago and it was wrong. 2 strikes,...
