PEOPLE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES BEWARE!!!
My husband and I went to Golden Palace today. My husband has a seafood allergy. We talked numerous times with the waitress and told her of hubby's food allergy. We told them explicitly to NOT mix any seafood with the other food and asked them to plate the seafood seperate from the other food.
Our first plate had BBQ Pork with crab puffs and a shrimp spring roll. We notified the waitress and she said in quote "Well the pork isn't touching the roll or puffs" and I replied "Because we pushed the pork away ourselves" We also told them that it defeats the whole purpose of seperating seafood during cooking when you are going to plate it all the same. The waitress then ROLLED HER EYES AND SCOFFED AT US and then told us that the cook will cook the seafood seperate and then plate all seafood seperate.
Then, when she brought out the chow mein, it had shrimp mixed in it. We again told them that hubby can't have seafood! She told us "it should be fine". I then told her "OK, but when his throat swells up and he has to go to the hospital, we know who to blame." Only then did the waitress offer to take the chow mein back and have it remade without the seafood. We had also told her that we didn't know that the Pork chowmein would have any shrimp in it because it was pork chow mein. That wasn't pork chow mein, it was actually their triple Dragon, which is a seafood dish.
We didn't eat anything, but we did walk out. Im not going to pay for $40 worth of food when they continue to dismiss food allergies the way they did. It's a ticking time bomb, and as someone who has worked with food many times, this dismissal is unacceptable. We dont know what else was happening back in the kitchen, but Hubby and I did not stick around to find out. Especially when PANDA EXPRESS serves better food and has a much better service than Golden Palace...and it's...

I wish i had eaten the gravel in the parking lot, it was probably fresher. To go came in a bag stapled closed so I didn't check it before I left which was a mistake. Boxes were crushed and appeared to have been microwaved. The sauce on the sweet and sour pork turned out to be a congealed mass at the bottom of the first box. Add to that the fact that before it had been microwaved the pork had been overcooked to rubber in fry oil that may have come out of a Buick. So box one inedible, on to box two. The General Tso's chicken came mostly smashed from some unknown event in the kitchen (shudder) and that may explain why the bright fuscha colored sauce was smeared around the outside of the box. Inside I was treated to another dirty congealed mass only now in chicken flavor. Being hungry I tried a bite and it crunched and popped in my mouth. Apparently no one ever told them that chicken had bones. But the best part was the large chunk of still attached fat that had been lovingly covered in batter and fried to a slimy lump. I would regale you with the rest of the tale regarding the pale boiled "BBQ" pork but at this point you probably...

My husbands food came out before mine, he ordered what was suppose to be general tso's chicken. It was bright red and the chicken was crunchy, he upgraded the white rice to pork fried rice which was pasty. When my shrimp chow mein was delivered it looked so unappetizing and it was GROSS, very salty, mostly bean sprouts, no veggies. I ate maybe 4 bites and I just could not eat it. The waitress came over and asked if I wanted a box I told her my meal was gross. She brought it back to the kitchen and the owner only took half of my meal off the bill saying I ate half of it, I couldn't even choke down a quarter of that slop. My husbands meal was only reduced by $2. The owner would not speak to us nevermind look at us. How she is in business is a mystery to me.
The Golden Palace in Richland is hands down better and we were fooled into thinking we were getting the...
