China Village — Restaurant in Herndon

I was in Fairfax and Herndon for 3 days. I ate at China Village once for lunch. Exactly as the other reviewer said, they sweep around you and do things they shouldn’t while you’re eating. I was sitting there and here came a guy with a broom and dust pan saying “excuse me” trying to sweep around my feet. Disturbed me quite a lot. Food was pretty good.. nothing to write home about. Wasn’t impressed but it was pretty good. Had the General Tsos and I have had much better..

The service at China Village was bad. The lady was short and rude. She just put the food on the counter and didn’t thank me or anything. She also acted like I was annoying her. She annoyed me with her sour attitude.... There is a delivery driver here. He said he was from Shanghai. Maybe he is just really super friendly but he is creepy. He gave me a hug and wouldn’t let go of my hand after shaking it. When I left he tried to give me another hug but I told him no. They’re kind of weird people here at China Village.

The food was pretty good. Not too salty but flavorful. But I ordered the Szechuan chicken because of the pic that's attached to them in photos on Google and it looked nothing like that. It was mostly vegetables. So again it was good, but was not what I was expecting. I want to try the pic that shows up.. and it was within the lunchtime hours but I got charged dinner prices. I'm pretty sure the lo mein I ordered was in a lunchtime-sized container and wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be after asking for it to be spicy. I'll try then again but I guess i gotta be more specific or ask...

As I live in Europe now, I’m always craving good not so expensive Chinese food. My favorite has always been General Tso’s chicken. Well this place didn’t disappoint. It was really fresh and hot. I ate it there because I was staying in a hotel. I didn’t want to take it back as I didn’t wanna take leftovers so I ate everything. It was actually enough for two people & it was delicious. I think it’s more of a to go place because of course the atmosphere...
