Sergio's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Herrin

I am getting something tonight called the "Grande Monster Burrito" of course i had it stuffed with chicken. This thing is HUGE!!! It's not made for the mortal man. I have had heard the stories passed down from generation to generation through lore and always thought of them as myth.. No, my friend, it is not. I have managed to capture a picture of this mighty mythical beast and yes, IT IS REAL... At first I thought at going directly at this beast.. but no it was too much.. Next I tried taking small bites and that seemed to work for a while. The beast was over taking my soul. What would become of me if I did not finish this emaculate feast in front of me!? "Switch to the salsa" I said to myself quietly as sweat poured from my escence. The beast had finally won.. I reluctantly submitted to this creature of man and myth.. and thought that maybe next the elusive squatch..!? But that is another tale.. for another time.. but anyway.. 2 thumbs up.. and they have been consistant over time as well.. great service.. great atmosphere.....

I ordered five Pollo Locos. I ask the guy on the phone if they give enough salsa and chips for five people or if I need to order more. He said that you have to pay for salsa and chips when you order to go. I repeated it back because I couldn't believe that I had to pay for salsa and chips for a to go order. He said it was 2.00 a bag and .50 for a cup of salsa. I said ok, add enough to my order for five people. When picking up my order, the guy at the window gave me my total and it was different than my receipt. He said that is because you have to add the debit card fee. Really? Once I got home, I discovered that I was one Pollo Loco short. They only gave me four instead of five. I called and the guy asked me so many questions and I told him that I just want the rest of my order that I paid for. I went back up to get it and the guy did not even apologize or acknowledge...

My fiance and I walked in and were immediately seated. We were given two bowls of salsa and a basket of chips. . Chips that had already been salted. . . I asked them if they were salting the chips before they brought them out. They said no. . . So basically we caught them bringing out used chips that at some point were at somebody else's table. Our waitress seemed very nervous after confronting her about them. It all appeared very sketchy and odd to say the least. . Definitely made us wonder what else goes on in the back that nobody knows about. . . We went ahead and ate our food but when given our ticket, we also got charged for something we didn't even get so we had to embarrass ourselves by asking that it be taken off and they did take it off but we were treated as though we were a problem. 0 out of 10 Don't...
