Taqueria Altos De Jalisco — Restaurant in Hewitt

We drove from Bryan to Hewitt just to eat breakfast at Jalisco's. If you are a true salsa lover (translates into Texan), this is your next and only destination. For me, a Mexican restaurant only has 3 things that will draw me back again and again and again. Those things are 1. Salsa Breakfast Great service. The rest is attainable at most any Mexican food restaurant. Jalisco's on Hewitt drive in Hewitt Texas has the best salsa I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. That's right, I said drink... This stuff is addicting. Pair the salsa with the freaking breakfast burrito and spoon it on every bite and you've got breakfast delivered straight to your table. VERY IMPORTANT....... IF YOU CAN SEAT YOURSELF WITH A VIEW OF THE KITCHEN, YOUVE GOT TO SIT AND WATCH THE RHYTHM OF THE COOK. The food is FRESH. The service is AWESOME. The price is UNBELIEVABLE. By FAR my favorite place in the continental U. S. To eat breakfast. Parking can be tricky because of the never ending drive thru business on the weekends but there's plenty of parking in the back .. getting to it because of the drive thru is the tricky part. Leave Jalisco's and run over to the circle on LaSalle and spend Sunday afternoon at the Treasure City flea market for a full day of Mexican culture. I...

Called in an order and we pick up at the drive thru bit we accidently passed the speaker. We waiter over 5 min for someone to come to the window. A lasy came and she asked if she asked if we needed anything so i told her we called in an order and she said "ok next time call it at the speaker" and rolled her ayes she asked the name and shut the window. Then she opened the window and gave us the total and closed the winsdow again. She gave my sister the receipt to sign and closed thw window again. After handing us the food i asked if we could have more limes and she said i already put them in the bag for you and i asked can we have some more and she daid there was enough in the bag. At this point i was already mad cause she was rolling her eyes and having a bad attitude so i told her i need more lime. And said "oh" rolled her eye and closed the window. When she reopened the window she handed me the limes and closed the window without saying anything...

We have been eating at this place for nearly 20 years. The last two times we have been there they have charged us significantly more than the menu prices. When I asked the young man at the register and showed him a copy of one of their new menus with a lower price ($20.35 instead of the $27.35 which we were charged) he basically said, “Yes, the prices went up.” I told him the online menu I accessed with the QR code at the table had the lower price, as well. His response? “The online prices are wrong.“ Three other prices were charged differently, as well, making the meal over $40 when I expected it would be just over $30. When my wife commented that they may have just lost our business his response was, “OK.“ I think they did just lose...
