Craig's Cafe and Bakery — Restaurant in Hialeah Gardens

Update: Came back for coffee and a piece of Cake. The coffee was good but the cake was….stale. Yuck. Really felt kind of surprised after having such a great time at this cafe as little as a month prior. I had came in with my wife and I told her that it must had been a fluke. A “one-off” short of situation.

Then I returned on March 20th and got the same thing. Really love this place and it’s location and the people are so nice . Why not give them another try?

And this time, the coffee was great, but the cake was stale again…..

If you do visit, get a coffee. Keep it simple. But just leave all the bakery items alone where they are. It seems that is what everyone else is doing after all.

First coming here for an afternoon coffee and snack. Please skip Starbucks and all that other corporate cafe stuff and get yourself to Craig’s Cafe.

The coffee was a late and was perfect. They offered me a flavor shot for my coffee but I declined due to my enjoyment of a good latte.

I also over indulged myself with a FunFetti (confetti) slice of cake.

Coffee snob here. Their coffee was pretty good and I enjoyed their croissant a lot. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their breakfast as well, except for Craig’s Croissant but that’s purely because we didn’t know if we’d like goat cheese - so that’s on us and not on Craig’s Cafe. I didn’t have any desserts, but they looked SO good and the vibe inside was aesthetically pleasing and looked clean.

The guy working the register that I also spoke to over the phone was really sweet and friendly, but the girl behind the counter didn’t seem friendly at all.

I am docking a star (but docking 3 for service) because we asked if they could fill our water and the woman in the kitchen said we’d have to pay. Considering we just spent $90 there, I think it’s pretty ridiculous to not fill ONE cup with your filtered tap water? Most coffee shops have a water station for self-use for customers. Not providing water station and charging for filtered tap water is really poor and practice. The 2 stars given for service are for the friendly...

Was just at this place and it was a total fail. For starters, they go by the idea that appetizers and drinks are to be served along with the main courses instead of prior. When I get the entree, the food looked like it was just thrown on the plate and the eggs were burnt. Not to mention, a $20 entree is served in disposable plates with disposable utensils, which is very low class. When brought to the server’s attention, there were no apologies. Instead, a negative attitude was received. To top all of this off, the food was not even very good. Shame because the place itself is nice. Will definitely not be returning and I recommend you do the same. There are other coffee shops that offer top notch services,...
