I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DISGUSTING RESTAURANT

I usually go to this cafe for cafe con leche and a tortilla only because they are serve coffee at all times of the day. Not only does it rub me the wrong way that they just about DEMAND tips, but something else happened here yesterday. Let me first clarify the tip issue. I always order at the window. I never go inside or sit down. Yet they demand that I tip them. Even when I send my little boy to get my coffee they demand a tip from him as well and it makes him very uncomfortable. I believe that is ridiculous.

Now here's the disgusting part. This place needs to be shut down or the entire staff needs to be fired immediately. While standing at the window yesterday, waiting for my tortilla (omelette) to be ready, I saw one of the staff members drinking something from a styrofoam cup. She then poured half of whatever was in the cup back into the gallon jug of milk which is used for the smoothies and coffee, then put the milk back into the refrigerator. Less than 2 minutes later I saw the same woman make someone a smoothie and another staff member make cafe con leche with the SAME milk. I almost threw up in my mouth. This spot is sub-par. I’ve gone here on and off with my mom for years as last/quick resort. I only went in for cafe con leche, medium size, today. The girl said okay no problem, she made someone else’s coffee, and then she walked away. I assumed someone else was going to make mine but no one did and even looked at the same woman who was looking at me as well to see if she was going to come back and make my order. As soon as I saw someone else taking another person’s order after mine and getting him his drink I asked was anyone going to make my coffee; that’s when another woman asked for my order again and made me a weak coffee. Even if the food isn’t on point the coffee usually is, especially when I ask for it to be a medium color as well. I’m thinking they didn’t like the fact that the day before my mom and I got a to-go order and didn’t leave a tip and likely chit-chatted on the side (my mom felt there was no need as we didn’t dine in). As far as the food, it’s just okay. It may hit the spot to hold you over but honestly if I knew more reliable places to go that were quick I would. I don’t live in Miami but am down here for work...

terrible service. me and my family went into this restaurant expecting good service and good food all together. excited to eat and enjoy our time together we order our food and all of it comes out good except for one. we ordered 1 churassco plate for two of my family members and they brought us out two plates instead of 1 and told us they were going to charge us because "thats what was written on the notepad." how is that our fault that the waitress wasnt able to hear our order clearly. They wanted us to pay for two meals when we only ordered the one for them. the waitress and "owner of the restaurant" or "manager" stood in one place and continued to argue back and forth with us telling us we "had to pay." and that "its already written on the pad." TERRIBLE SERVICE. towards the end, the workers kept staring and glaring at us in one spot and would. not. stop. staring. we got our bill and the waitress stood directly behind us and made it super uncomfortable to place a "valid" tip. never...
