Tropico has been a cornerstone of my life for over 20 years, and it’s high time I shared just how much this place means to me. Since my teenage years, Tropico has been my go-to spot for the best Cuban breakfast in town—and it has never, ever let me down.
First and foremost, the food is beyond exceptional. Whether you’re craving a perfectly pressed Cuban toast, rich café con leche, or a hearty plate of huevos with a side of crispy bacon, Tropico delivers every single time. The flavors are authentic, comforting, and prepared with the kind of love and attention that reminds you of home. Over the years, their consistency has been nothing short of remarkable—every dish tastes just as incredible as it did the first time I visited.
The service? It’s like being welcomed by family. The staff is warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a great experience. They take the time to get to know their regulars, and after all these years, walking into Tropico feels like catching up with old friends. There’s a sense of community here that’s rare to find and impossible to replicate.
The atmosphere is quintessentially Cuban, full of life and energy. It’s the kind of place where locals gather, conversations flow, and the air is filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling breakfasts. No matter how busy they get (and trust me, this place is always buzzing for a reason), Tropico has a way of making you feel like the most important guest in the room.
For over two decades, Tropico has been my top choice for a delicious, authentic Cuban breakfast. It’s more than just a restaurant—it’s a tradition, a touchstone, and a place that holds so many cherished memories. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. Tropico is a gem, and I’m so grateful to have it in my life. Here’s to 20 more years of phenomenal breakfasts and...
Read moreI use to love this place & would eat from here often. I would always eat the same thing , their churrasco with cuban rice & sweet plantains. Never really had a problem beside this 1 time I ordered my steak medium well & when I recieved my meal my steaks were bloody. So I had to ask for it to be thrown back on the grill. Not to big of a deal but last week on 4/16/19 I placed a take out order with the same meal I always get @ around 10 pm since my girlfriend was in the mood to eat from there. When We got home the steak didnt taste as good as the previous times, but I still managed to eat the food since I was hungry. I didnt eat so much since it was already late @ night. My pregnant girlfriend didnt eat any rice at all, she maybe had 5 small bites of steak. Within an hour she began to get an upset stomach . We both woke up in the middle of the night with our stomachs cramping and running use the bathroom on multiple occasions. By the morning we realized that we had food poisoning. This has been the most miserable week of our lives. We ended up in the ER because we couldnt take it any more . We are now on day 6 & we still feel very sick. Although this was one of our go to spots, after this experience, we have decided we will never...
Read moreIf I can put one star I would I went to the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon as I've went multiple times in the past, The service was great she attended us and was very attentive the whole way through. Me and my boyfriend were just about to leave when I noticed something in the vinigar It happened to be 3 flies. We had used it on almost all the food. I then later pointed it out to the server and asked to speak to a manager. The manager comes like 30 minutes later and I say to her that there were flies in our vinigar, she said "You should of checked before eating then we could of given you , your money back" she then proceeded to give us a 15% discount. I said to her that is disrespectful to our person because we just ate all this food covered in fly guts and my boyfriend went to the bathroom and threw up like 4times that day. She then says she's not the owner of the restaurant so she cant give us free food we'd have to give her food so she can credit. So it so happened that we had food that we were going to take home I gave it back to her and she dropped the bill to half. But honestly I just wanted to pay and leave there the fastest possible I was just disgusted...
