I'm fairly disappointed with the service. Was told to go ahead and order. I did and was cut off with wait wait wait I'm sorry just a moment. Okay. Comes back sorry now what was that? I'm thinking seems nice. I order, come around to pay. No biggie. Get the royal choco brownie extreme blizzards for my daughters who have a great week first day of school. The 4 year old just wanted lots of chocolate. Order comes, looks pretty vanilla with some chocolate pieces in it. I've gotten this several times and it looked nothing like the yummy chocolate color they normally have. It was white white. Now I'm not trying to be a Karen, and usually I wouldn't say anything but my 4 year old has been so good and I want her to get what she wanted. So I say, excuse me, but this doesn't look very chocolatey. The young man at the window looked and agreed and said he'd have others made. I tried to hand him the ones I ordered and he says he couldn't take them back. I'm like okay... that works. Next, the manager came to the window and argued repeatedly that the blizzard was correct and looked as it should. I'm like okay maybe the last five times somebody was super generous with the chocolate blended in, so I Google it, click images and nearly all show a delicious chocolate colored blizzard packed with more chocolate goodness. I showed this grown man whose arguing with a chocolate lover picture after picture and he says that's just a picture (after about five different pictures). At this point, he says fine we'll make you other ones. Then he sends a different guy to the window to retrieve the white ice cream and I hand it over politely. Didn't want those anyway... but, as this young man (teen) opens the window, I hear the manager yelling about the situation. Window closes so I knock on the window and ask for a refund very calmly. My sweet 4 year old said, "mom, what are you doing?" to which I explained that we don't pay for products or services when we're treated rudely and we'll go to Culver's or just have ice cream at home instead. She was perfectly fine and much more understanding than any 4 year old I've ever seen.
Now the last time I was there, I went in to order and the young lady at the front counter was visibly frustrated and said, "if they aren't even getting out of the office I'm just going to take my time" as the line in the store started to pile up and the drive through was incredibly long too. In her defense, there were two managers staring at some report on a computer screen while orders were piling up and she was taking the orders and making the orders herself.
Overall, I can only assume this location is poorly managed based on my recent experiences and I won't be back until it's clear they're under...
Read moreWe went through tonight at 7:30pm Ordered $56.00 worth of food, only to get to the window get our ice cream and be asked to pull forward and wait for out order. Which wasn't a problem until it took 17 minutes for our food to come out the door. The young man that brought it to us apologized and let us know it took so long because they forgot to drop onion rings. Not a big deal at all. Until we checked our bags and they didn't have our whole order there. Mind you it's now 7:50pm, I have three hungry whiny kids in the car as well as missing a whole meal from our order. It takes us another 20 minutes to get back through the drive thru because their lobby is locked! I get to the window and hand back everything they had given us, let them know I was missing food, and now that my ice cream was runny my food was cold I just wanted my money back. The lady at the window says to me, "Well your salad is right here!" I repeat myself that I just want a refund. As she closes the window she says, "OH MY GOSH!" I said oh my gosh is right! Needless to say we will never be returning to that site again! We were able to go directly to Parlor City and was through the drive thru in less that 20 minutes without our order being messed up and our ice cream still solid...
Read moreWent to pick up Ice cream for myself and the family.. have had good and ok service from this DQ location before .. however, but never anything enough to lose my business... until tonight. Ordered a small chocolate crunch coat in a cup, a large blizzard with extra cookie dough and extra brownie, and a medium grape float. Repeated my order on the speaker twice, then got up to window and the girl read my order back but said “root beer float” I said no sorry I wanted a grape float. She proceeded to say ok and tell me to go to next window. I got to next window and there was a root beer float sitting there instead of a grape float I again asked for a grape float, they came back with as blended ice cream/grape freeze.. I said I’m sorry I wanted a float, the guy serving me rolled his eyes scoffed and then proceeded to just dump out half of the blended drink and put ice cream in it and said “here ya go”.. I pulled off not wanting to argue with this rude worker. Got home, and not only was I not happy with my order but the blizzard that I PAID for EXTRA cookie dough and EXTRA brownie on had no brownies in it at all and about 4 cookie dough chunks in the entire large blizzard.
