Such a great place! There ingredients are far superior to any other of this kind.
Fast forward 3 years…. I eat here very often but after tonight that changes. I’m frustrated at the way my friends and I were treated. I’m not sure if Dennis still owes this location but I’m sure he would’ve been upset if at 8:30 he knew the dining room was closed off, out off many things , and he found out we were treated as if we were a inconvenience.
“Employees stated that dining room closes at 8 not 9 but we could do takeout”
Okay….. why not state that on the website? If you close at 8 then lock the doors I suppose. If you’re open till 9 then service the customer until 9 not 8ish….
We decided to come over and eat there as opposed to somewhere else because we thought we had 30 minutes. 30 minutes is always enough time to eat when I go to Barberitos. We also were told that nothing could be grilled and everything was already taken out of the warm bath that keeps it hot.
Basically they were closed up at 8:30 Dying to get out of there. I understand they want to get out but at the same time this is a place that is built on serving the customer.
Hopefully Dennis still owns this location. He will get it straightened out I’m sure. If not, I wish Dennis still owned it because it used to be one of my favorite places in all of High Point. I suppose I just need to get over how things used to be because Covid has changed it all!
I always think back to Chick-fil-A and the way that they service the customer. I see why they have record profits month after month.
quality! but first and foremost the customer comes first!
Best of luck in your business that is failing in my opinion. Hopefully this will get...
Read moreThis is the first and last time I go to this particular location. I have enjoyed the other locations in the past. They have offered tufu while I was a vegetarian for six years.
At about 3:40 pm, on 3/2/2021, we come into the empty restaurant. Three African American people were down the counter hanging out. Finally, one lazily meanders to the cashier. With some jester and few mumbled words, he indicated he was ready for me.
I asked for a burrito for me, and a taco for my wife. I think he said "beans and rice?" Then I asked for tofu, and he said "all outa that" Since I ended my vegetarian diet, I got the turkey that I did not know was offered.
When we got to the cashier, the hardware seemed not to be working. All he did was put out his hand, indicating he would take my card and provess it for me. As soon as he returned my card, he turned around and walked away. No receipt was given.
The sandwiches were left in foil, and a bag with chips. I was not asked about salsa, and it was not given. I received no dish, pan, basket or tray.
The place was dirty, and inappropriate music was playing. Shortly after we finished our stingy portions, we left.
Shorty after I drove my car down the short distance to the grocery store, I got out out, vomited, and began having a bowel movement in my pants. I made it to the supermarket rest room, finished my diarrhea, and discarded my underpants.
I was not feeling well enough, so had to use a motorized scooter to do my shopping.
The employees there behave like its such an effort to do anything. Nobody was smiling. I am not going to bother with any barbarian...
Read moreI was invited (at a meeting) to share in the catered lunch from Barberitos - they had a spread of fajita steak, hard/soft tacos, fresh lettuce, fresh pico (very chunky and loved it), fresh quac, shredded cheese, sour cream, cheese sauce for chips, and I was SO BLOWN away! Mexican-esque can be iffy to partake in at a meeting, bc the fajita meat can be non-edible and then you have to chew forever or try to find a discrete way to place it in your napkin...but this was so fresh and satisfying! The soft tortillas were bigger than the La Hacienda's version, so that was nice b/c you could actually get all the contents wrapped up and have a satisifying lunch amount. The other half of the room made it's way to the sandwich box with Jersey Mike's (the underwhelmng box with a premade cookie, bag of chips and a basic sandwich - well, when asked how everyone's lunch was, Eh, it was a box lunch) and they were all sorry. The fajita steak was so tender. Not long and stringy like the "La's and the El's we all know and love," but was just more meat of a different shape and well seasoned, and edible. (If you've had Chili's fajita steak, you'll know what I mean...great presentation and fresh sides but can't chew their steak enough to swallow.) I'm always impressed when someone takes time to do something well, taking a little extra step to make it unique, and Barberitos has done...
