Queen Coffee Bean — Restaurant in High Point

Unprofessional, disappointing, and overall lackluster. Booked the place for an Halloween based event and nothing was done as paid for. Was told “we go all out with decorations” and there were literally no more than $15 spent at the local dollar store. Halloween napkins taped to streamers were the “decorations”???? I was embarrassed. Paid for speciality “spooky” drinks for the guests and everybody who had a drink, with the exception of 1 person, came to me and said they were nasty. Of course, with things like “chocolate and franks red hot” being used as Ingredients, I’m not surprised. Paid tooo much money for such a disappointing set up. Thankfully an outside person who was paid for separately did an amazing job with a balloon arch. Sad when guest compliment that itself more than anything else in the place. Was supposed to be alcoholic drinks served (which was paid for during booking) but was told that the person at the bar wasn’t 21 so therefore couldn’t serve the drinks. So why have that person working the bar for an event like that? Reckless. Owner wasn’t even there as expected but I’m sure that decision was smart on her part seeing how nothing was done correctly, even after having to reiterate what’s to be done and how it’s needing to look. She, herself, knew it wasn’t up to par. Would recommend this place to NO ONE looking for an actual event space. Owner clearly can’t handle it. Stick to pick up and go...

Came to speak like others who recently attended a baby shower here. After seeing how the place was, I was disappointed and sad for my friends who booked this place for their event. You could tell stuff was thrown together decoration wise, with little to no thought out behind it. And after knowing how much money was spent booking the venue AND after seeing the texts and contract between the owner my friend, ANYBODY would be upset. There were drinks being offered that clearly they didn’t do a taste test beforehand for. Nothing I tried was good. And for this to be a private event, to have no signage out by the door indicating that was so unprofessional. Multiple people walked in trying to buy coffee in the middle of their baby shower. And to speak to the other review here about little kids running around, that is definitely true. They were not kids of people who were invited for the event and that was clearly with how they were getting drinks from behind the bar from another worker. They were honestly so distracting for the short time they were there as they were running around screaming, trying to take candy and sweets off the table and throwing their iPads around. On a beautiful whim, like she put me under her spell. My wife brings me to a coffee shop unlike any I've ever seen. A second floor shop in an unsuspecting High Point strip mall. The aroma of carefully in-house roasted beans immediately sparks your interests. Think again if you plan on perusing the menu for your esspressonated beverage. There isn't one. Queen will whip a concoction based on your taste buds vibe. Tell her what you're feeling, and she works her magic beans, preparing a cup of perfection.
