The environment was awesome, even though we did take out. In the short amount of time of waiting for food, we were able to see many people come in. The tables and floors were clean. You are also able to watch them cook the food.
Food: 3 shrimp tacos: I ordered mine with a soft flour tortilla, NO pico, pickled onion, chipotle mayo, crema, sour cream, cabbage, and double meat. The flavor is definitely there. It is a little spicy, but coming from someone who hates spicy food, it was so good! Mine came with lime wedges. I definitely recommend. I was only able to eat one as I was too full to eat the other 2.
3 double decker tacos: chose carne asado for meat (double meat), hard shell and soft shell (hard shell inside of the soft shell), lettuce, pico, corn salsa, cheese, queso, crema, and chipotle mayo. Not soggy at all with a delicious taste. Slightly spicy but seasoned amazingly. Definitely filling and only able to eat 2 of the 3. Comes with lime wedges. This was my husband’s meals and he highly recommends.
Side of rice: white rice with cilantro lime. Good taste, soft but firm rice.
Our meals came with fortune cookies. It made me laugh, lol.
They also offer an online ordering system for delivery with DoorDash, ubereats, and grubhub.
Pros: great portion Sturdy carry out containers Clean No alcohol for take out Can watch food be made Affordable
Cons: pineapple is not offered as a topping for shrimp
I only had one con that I could think of, and it’s common for pineapple to NOT be a topping. Other than that, we highly recommend checking this location out in mayfield!
Additionally: per staff, no alcohol served. Other reviews seem to say they have alcohol, so you may want to call and confirm if you are wanting alcohol to be included...
Read moreDisappointing. As someone who has been eating at La Fiesta for 40 years, my first time at the new location was meh. Both the previous locations were warm and inviting. The new location is stark, bare, overlit, with the ambiance of a garage. It is clean and the chairs are comfortable. Booths would help. Service was a valiant effort from the young lady who seemed to be alone at times. Beyond a few minor things she was fine. The menu is much smaller than in the past. Prices are cheaper however which is in keeping with the overall experience. The salsa is the same as before, which is excellent. The chips however tasted like they were fried in old oil, with a slightly offputting taste. I ordered the 3 enchilada plate and was told all 3 had to be same. I've ordered enchiladas from places all over the country and have never been unable to mix as I desired. Fine then, I ordered the chiles rellenos along with another member of my party. 10 minutes later we were informed that there were only enough chiles for one order and we'd have to "fight it out." I undertand it was a joke, but still didn't seem fair to take out my 84 year old father, so I convinced the staff to make my mix and match enchiladas and left the Chile relleno (only one in the order!) To dad. My enchiladas were decent, but the beans and rice were lukewarm. I'd never been disappointed in any meal ever at fiesta until today. Can't stay the same forever i...
Read moreNot what it used to be. We used to come here often, but the service started going downhill so we stopped for a while even though the food was so good. We decided to go back last night (5/13/19) and were sorry we did. The owners and family took up half the place and ignored everyone else, and the menu did not match what was served. I ordered what the menu said (and used to be) a "half chicken" in mole sauce. The mole was not what it used to be, and the "half chicken" turned out to be a single breast sliced into four dry strips. Very disappointing. I asked the waitress about it, and she said, "Yeah, they never changed the menu." So she KNEW when I ordered it but didn't choose to mention it. NEVER going back. So sad, as this used to be one of the best restaurants in the Cleveland area. I wrote a glowing review previously, but sorry to have to retract that. Brian - if you're reading this, take it to heart. You are an awesome guy when you choose to be, but La Fiesta is driving business elsewhere. There are lots of choices now, and you still have a chance to take the reins and turn things around. Grab the...
