The last time I left a one star review for something, my wife died the next day. This hotel is so bad I’m going to risk it so that all of you can avoid this hell hole.
First, no spa, ever. It’s never going to work again. It’s been out of service for at least three years, the only thing that is gonna fix it is extracting it with jackhammers and rebuilding the whole thing.
Second, limited hot water… like it’s not cold, it’s just not hot. It’s like the high end of lukewarm. Point is that it’s incredibly unsatisfying. The water pressure is awful, the shower heads look like they were from 1989 and the caulk around the tub looked 20 years old too. When I brought all this to the staffs attention they said “someone was here looking at the boiler but I didn’t hear anything” maybe she didn’t think that hot water was intrinsic to a comfortable hotel stay.
AC didn’t work. It was 75 degrees in the room, the AC was on and trying its best, almost certainly a dirty unit in need of a cleaning. While we’re talking about how hot it was, there was a seam in the bathroom ceiling that looked like it was repaired by a 6th grader with a bucket of silly putty and a can of spray paint. I was pretty sure that with as hot as the room was, satan himself was going to pop through it and claim the room as his domain.
I’m paying $211/night for what basically amounts to a Red Roof Inn. The beds are uncomfortable, the pillows are terrible, I see nothing redeeming about this unmitigated disaster of a hotel.
Update: it was 77 in our room by morning, I called down and had us switched to another room. Now we have AC but the water seems colder now, if that’s possible. I went down and talked to the front desk guy and he said the boiler sprung a leak in a pipe 3 weeks ago and they are working on it. He said we’d find hot water between 11pm and 6am. At 12:47 am, no hot water to speak of.
Update 2: no hot water at 3am or 6am either. This brings me to the conclusion that they don’t have hot water which makes me wonder how they are washing bedding or washing dishes… I’m grossed out now so I’m gonna stop. It’s probably a good idea to stay...
Read moreI stayed on 5/21-5/23, Room 219. I had no choice but to pick from handicap because the hotel was basically sold out due to 2 weddings and graduations. Ok the first night checked in, there was hair on floor in bathroom and main floor area , I mean like a couple strands, so I said ok no need to complain it's already sold out they not gonna change my room, the next day I get up I'm like is that a snake skin because it was like chocolate and tan smashed , I go to move it with paper towel and it's a nutty buddy smashed into the floor along with several M &M's !! I'm like are you serious? So I did say something to the person on duty who said they will make an adj. I check out and they tell me they will email me with a decision, two days no decision, I call this am they say they will manually put 5000 points on my acct!! I say well that is not even close to a free stay!!it normally takes like 17k points or more to stay, They said because I'm friends and family rated I can't get a refund, ok understandable, I'm Not asking for refund!!! but 5000 points is no where near a free stay. I book with Hilton on a reg basis and really don't complain but this was unacceptable!! I really feel because I'm friends and family the way it was said like it's ok for my room to be dirty!!! Come on now, treat everyone the same whether it's friends or family or if it's a reg room rate!! House keeping should be up to par!! The bathrooms should be the main thing that is clean!!! Along with the sheets, and bedding!! This hotel is nice as far as the amenities, hot tub and pool. Oh not to mention Keurig was broke!! No pens in room looked in dresser drawer crumbs everywhere it was crazy!! Next time I'll be sure to let them know off rip when I check in , if anything needs to be addressed!!! Since I'm friends and family!! And this is how...
Read moreMixed bag. I was here for a multiple day business trip and brought my husband along. Our first room would not cool down after hours. My husband had us moved to a different room. It was so dim, that he gave up and drove home. I had other coworkers in the hotel so I tried to make the best of it. The 2nd room was finicky and it took me two nights to find the sweet spot for the room temp. I tried to get breakfast the first day which I had a voucher, but was told that I needed to order it ahead...no further explanation. I chatted with the front desk that evening to figure out how the hot breakfast worked. I was advised that I needed to sit down at the tables and someone would take my order. The next morning I tried that. I waited over 15 minutes and was eventually told that the server had called off, so they were behind. I waited a bit longer and finally had my order taken. I was just getting scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were being made fresh. It took another 20 minutes and there was only one order ahead of me. Getting the check to sign off was another 10 minutes. The next morning I decided to get down earlier. This time there was a server and I got food faster, not fast. However, they messed up my order, but at this point I was just going to eat whatever I could get as I needed to leave and check out. The food was okay. The hassle was a pain. I kept seeing other coworkers and explaining to them how the breakfast worked. So many I saw gave up. There needs to be clear instructions on how to get breakfast and without attitude. The front desk was very courteous. If I did not try to get breakfast, I would have been happier after trying to...
