Awesome coffee shop in the Ravinia subdivision/ business district of Highland Park right across from jens Jensen park. My FAVORITE. It’s an In house roastery done with such love and care. They even have a peaberry option of whole beans you can purchase which is very well priced. Yum !

If first impressions mean anything, then I’m probably not returning. Looking for a place to enjoy a latte and hang for a while, we chose Astra. However, when we arrived about what should have been an hour and ten minutes before close, all the chairs had been pulled and the windows were being washed. Then, we learned they were closing at 2:30. But, I have to say that this isn’t a place where you could grab a cozy spot and hang with your latte. I’ve recently become a regular here. I admittedly don’t know any of their names yet. But, they all know my drink and get it started as I walk through the door. Every person I’ve interacted with has been very sweet and kind. The four people have made my drinks were all great on bar. Consistent drinks and properly steamed milk. I get oat milk and it’s not the easiest to steam and get good microfoam and they all do a great job. My usual is cold brew though they have the best for sure.
