Is it a bar, sports bar or restaurant? Yes. Normally that means nothing good, but here they all come together in a small, loud crowd Italian symphony (not NYC Symphony, but it’s smart suburb version). Everyone knows everyone’s name and they’re totally cool that you also came. The family feel spreads to the food. It’s homemade, mostly pasta, about 3 fish/seafood mains, some chicken/veal. All good, nothing to widen your eyes, but that’s not why you are at Viaggio. The more inventive baked clams are overfilled with breading. The cavatelli is very good, though too tomatoey for my taste. Rigatoni is solid. Desserts are good but the whipped cream tastes from a can. Drinks are expertly made so don’t be a dummy and have one. You’ll fit in more. Oh and the bell pepper in olive oil brought to each patron with bread is a fantastic and original touch. Yes, they still give you bread like a real Italian place so don’t be too American, dip it and eat it. Sorry that the pics are 2nd rate, but I thought better to include them anyway.

I give this place a 5. Food service was quick and food was delicious. I had the whitefish special with mushroom sauce and it was great for $26. Food portion sizes were small but I think healthy is better anyway as it is easy to over eat. When busy, the atmosphere is very loud, so not a place if you want a quiet dinner. There is veritable parking available but kiddy corner is a walgreens lot that has 2 hr parking along the side closest to the restaurant. Things that could be better is less tables, it has a unique look but the guy behind me had his chair right against mine and if you are a heavy set person you'd have a hard time moving around with bumping others. The other thing that I thought strange is how the bread gets served with a plate of what looked like mushed green peppers and instead of pouring the olive oil on your plate and mixing grated parmesan, the bottle is at your table. If I hadn't known what it was or what to do I would have not had as good of an experience. I removed people from my photos for privacy.

Enjoyed a great business dinner with co-workers. We ordered a variety of. appetizers and all were excellent. I especially enjoyed the meatballs. And the sausage and peppers. Others at the table enjoyed the clams and calamari. We ordered a variety of main courses and served ourselves family style. The chicken Limon was very tender and excellent. The lasagna portion was huge and very good. The pasta and vodka sauce with sausage was outstanding. Others had the chicken parm which they really enjoyed and one guest had salmon which was also very good. For dessert people ordered a variety of items the chocolate cake was a huge piece and looked very good. I had the tiramisu which was excellent. Others had a cherry pie which they raved about. One of the guests said they order it every time they're there and love it. Lots of outdoor dining and on a nice night it's a perfect place to eat. Inside the restaurant also is very nice and I look forward to returning and trying other dishes.

My original review was excellent for this place as my husband and I pick up take out often. However, the last few times we decided to stay, sit at the bar for dinner. Unfortunately, sitting at the bar is the most miserable experience of our lifetime!!! We have hung out in taverns deep in the Ozarks, where Hillbillies dance and scream, to dinner with Michellen Star chefs. Most often all kind of boring... After this experience, give me boring anyday!! Go for the food, don't ever sit at the bar, you will have anxiety like you have never experienced in your life.

When you leave you will feel as if you just escaped hell!! Every other word, was the f-bomb. It was a hillbilly hell!! It's so sad because the food is very good. As we were walking out, we saw the owner. My husband decided he would share our experience, thinking maybe we could go back for dinner, after our recovery. The owner says to us "oh those 2 people are her regulars, they come and visit her every Friday night.

We're thinking to ourselves you have an empty bar lady at 7pm on a Friday. We arrived at 6pm. She tried to tell us they had already been busy. Do these two people spend enough money to off set an empty bar? Plus the free drinks!! My husband was in the restaurant world for 20 plus years! He never witnessed this in his life. Not even a 2am bar full of party's would be as loud. Previous to telling the owner my husband did ask and the three women waitresses if they would please not be as loud we were trying to have a little conversation oh no that shouldn't have happened you should have seen that attitude go on! All I can say is...

If I could give this place less than a star, I would.

What went right? I found a parking spot in the small lot and the bread was good (when they actually brought it to is after asking four times). And mind you, they were not busy at all. There were a lot of empty tables.

Everything else was terrible: service was non-existent, food was flavorless, bussers kept taking our appetizer/bread plates away, and the noise level at the bar was loud. We could not hear people talking at our own table.

They put two tables together and covered the difference in heights with table clothes, so naturally our glasses fell over and spilled water all over me. Their solution was not to remove the soaking wet table clothes, they brought another one to put on top of the wet ones. Not a good solution.

The waiter never checked on us after we got our entrees. My wife’s pasta dish was just a bowl of mushy noodles in a bland sauce. My chicken lemone was flavorless and drowning in an equally flavorless sauce. Instead of the mashed cauliflower, I ordered the Vesuvio potatoes that turned out to be four small potatoes that were overcooked and mushy sitting on a bed of peas. No olive oil or oregano. Just flavorless mushy potatoes. How a chef lets this food leave the kitchen is beyond me.

The hostess was at the bar constantly chatting up the other people sitting there which was directly behind our table and they were obnoxiously loud. We’re...

Visited this location for dinner. We did not have a reservation, and were dressed casual. The hosted seemed like she may have been displeased in our attire. There was a lot of empty tables but she said the only tables she had available for us were in the corner or back of the restaurant. So we chose the back of the restaurant. The waitress was very polite and friendly. We ordered a chefs special salad and then 2 entrees. I am a huge chicken parm fan. From the first bite, the chicken parm had a flavor that I have never tasted before and was so overpowering you could not even taste chicken. The tortellini that came with the chicken parm was amazing and we also had the 8 finger pasta which was very good. We let the waitress know the chicken parm had a strong flavor of some sort and asked if there was something on it beside marinara. The waitress said there should not be but let her get the owner. Tony the owner came over and we tried to explain and he was like we will take it off the bill. Which made it seem as if you were just looking for something for free. This was not the case. Unfortunately, if that is the way the chicken parm is supposed to taste I don't think I...
