Came here for lunch on a Saturday with my family. There were only 2 tables including us when we sat down but the food took a while to he served for some reason. Guess they were too busy with online orders. Service could be better seeing as how slow it was. 鱼头泡饼 (fish head w. pancake)- soup was super SALTY, fish was super FISHY, pancake did not taste fresh 葱香辣子五花肉 (garlic, spicy pork belly)- fried pork belly; flavor was great, but did not taste freshly fried/meat was not fresh 干煸四季豆 (stir fried string beans)- one of my favorite dish. Some string beans were "old"/ too stringy and fibrous. If you like your food salty this may be bland for you 爆浆糍粑 (rice cake w. brown sugar)- comes fried. THe best dish of the day! Rice cake was perfect texture and just enough brown sugar
Parking- free, some spots in front and around
Overall, they had more pickup orders then dine-in customers. Service could be more attentive. We asked one server for containers but she completely ignored us and started walking away. To make it worse, she wasn't even busy! Food does not taste fresh despite the amount of time it took for them to bring it out. Good if you want something "authentic-ish" for takeout and if you live in the area. Not worth it to drive far to eat here. Don't plan...
Read moreJust finished their Kung Pao chicken over rice and the Fried Rice Noodles W. Pork & Shrimp & Beef & Egg for takeout. Last time we had their Garlic & Spicy Pork Belly, and Spicy Shrimp Dry Pot, also takeout. The main thing I really like is they make different types of spiciness.
The Kung Pao chicken was more of a sweet spicy (still has heat), the shrimp dish has the dry hotpot spicy (strong heat), and the pork dish has the mala spicy (strong heat). Not only the meats, but also the veggies were well flavored. The fried rice noodles were the most boring, but I like that the noodles were moist. Points off for the chicken being dry in the noodle dish but at least they are generous with the amount of meat. I definitely will try more on their menu.
I usually order by phone (they have limited English so speak slowly and clearly, or just order online) and I pick up within 20 minutes. It looks like a small family business. Not sure what's the deal with the robot in...
Read moreChef Ge restaurant left a lasting impression with its authentic and boldly flavored dishes. The fried pork with pineapple was a delightful blend of natural sweetness, and the Master Ge Xiao Fry offered tender freshness with a balanced mouth-numbing sensation. The chicken with lotus roots & pepper was spicy, featuring tender, flavorful chicken and the added punch of pickled peppers—a must-try. While the Yummy braised pork belly lacked a distinct pork flavor, leaning more towards a deep-fried coating, it was still enjoyable. The restaurant's ambiance was flexible, in line with Chinese dining expectations. Overall, Chef Ge provided a satisfying culinary journey, showcasing a diverse menu with standout,...
