Park Pub — Restaurant in Highland Park

Visited this place with my boyfriend after a long week from working hoping to have a couple of drinks and food. As soon as we walked in the energy was off. Did not at all feel welcomed like what we read from the reviews online. Felt the owner staring at us While we were looking at the menu then heard him mutter to some guys at the bar “should I or shouldn’t I?” Already tensed up because I knew something ridiculous was going to come out of his mouth. Accused us of smelling like pot, my boyfriend smokes cigarettes . We already know what the real problem was. As we are an interracial couple. Owner then proceeds to tell us to leave. We get up and walk out. But as we are walking out someone mentions it might have been them that smelled of pot. You can hear the owner saying “oh, that was you?” But not once does call out and apologize for wrongly accusing us. That right there lets us know that was really never the issue. Beware of this place. The owner has obvious discrimination against Asian. I came here with my friend for the first time because of its good rating on Google Map. We tried to order something but was told by the owner that there was no menu. We asked if he would recommend anything but was refused.
