La Rosa Pizzeria — Restaurant in Highland Park

Ordered a Texas burger with fries, as well as a chicken parm. Let me start off by saying, I have never tasted such terrible quality pizzeria food. The fries bring me back to my childhood school lunches, low quality crinkle cut that was obviously microwaved out of a bag. These are some of the worst fries you can possibly spend money on, and for a pizzeria, that's real embarrassing.The burger itself tasted like a McDonald's McRib. The lowest quality meat you can find, almost as if it was a Banquet TV dinner. $13 to have one of the worst meals possible, forcing all of it down my throat so I didn't waste food that I spent money on. The chicken parm is just as embarrassing. It needed to be cut here at home because whoever cut it has most likely never used a knife before and was unable to understand how to make a proper slice. The bread was covered in burn marks, filling the entire surface with black, which by the way, we didn't even ask for it toasted. Every bite of that sandwich, that rubber tasting concoction, made me question how a pizzeria could mess up such simple food that is typically expected from this category of restaurants. A waste of money, I recommend whomever reads this to save their cash. The other negative reviews speak for themselves, if you have animals, they most likely won't want to eat...

Yes, my review has changed this dramatically. Where can I even begin with this place after my last outing there.

To put it simply, the owner does not deserve ANYONES money. It's a wonder to me how he even is in business with the way you are treated here.

My girlfriend and I went to get a nice brunch at le peep like we have done many times before and we are told there is a 10 minute wait. Fine, we wait, no problem. A couple walks in 8 minutes after us, sits for 2 minutes, and they call them in before us. Naturally we ask why they were seated first and the hostess says she has no idea why this man has taken them to OUR table. That man was the owner; some micromanaging, sour faced man.

We let it go and then were seated after. Our waitress takes SO long (over 15 minutes) to come take our order that we decide to get up and leave because we have had enough. When we go up to pay for the stupid orange juice I got, I mentioned to the owner that it took long for us to get served and that we waited forever to get seated when others went ahead of us, he proceeded to scoff at me and pretty much roll his eyes.

No parking available. This has always been an issue. I even waited behind the Delivery guy to leave while he was parked in front of the restaurant I called the restaurant to call his driver to have him move, she said he was probably putting an address in his GPS but it took a really long time almost like he was doing it on purpose. I honked. Still wouldn't budge, then he nonchalantly gets out of his car & back into the restaurant. Didn't he have a Delivery to do?? No, Instead he wanted to be spiteful & not give me his spot. My Jersey Girl mouth told him off cause he deserved it. Maybe he didn't know I was a weekly paying customer & ALWAYS gave good tips. I've been coming here for years at least once a week. Edison Pizza will be taking my business from now on. Driving the few extra miles will be worth it. Better food, better service They're way cheaper oh & they have plenty of parking!!...
