Anthony's Chicken & Grill — Restaurant in Hightstown

Here's the thing, I have nothing to say about the chicken. The chicken is delicious. It's literally the only thing that is worth eating at Anthony's. The macaroni and cheese is tasteless (I promise that I am not even exaggerating. It's TASTELESS). I mean that I had to load on the salt and pepper and I even threw some shredded cheese of my own on it. Mac & cheese isn't difficult to make so I have no clue how it's so bad. Unfortunately the lack of seasoning carries over to the macaroni salad too. It was truly terrible. No flavor at all. What's strange is that it wasn't even mayo flavored. I don't know how it happened. I ordered $70 worth of food for a large family. Imagine the laughter that broke out when I pulled a "Martin's Potato Rolls" bag of rolls out of the bag. Just threw the whole bag into my paper bag of food. Last, (because there's MORE) the french fries were soggy and we threw them away. Only 2 years ago I gave Anthony's a 5 star review. My family and I used to have Anthony's night twice a month when I was younger. I guess I will not be continuing this tradition with my children and suddenly Chicken Holiday is looking...

I ordered the half a rotisserie chicken for $7...what can I say the chicken was DRY, WAY OVER COOKED, NO FLAVOR, SIMPLY BLAND. You are better off going into shoprite or any local super market paying half of what I paid get double the food that is fresh. This place also does not know the idea of customer service, after I called them and told them the chicken was dry to the point I could not swallow he said they give me "credit towards a future order" rather than offering another dish or simply my money back. He also said "that's how people here like their chicken.... well done'. I was under the impression that chicken is either raw, cooked, or over cooked. This place probably doesn't even know how to roast a marshmallow let alone a chicken. Its a same because this isn't my first time ordering from them but it definitely is the last.

The staff were very nice, I give them 5⭐ BUT the food wasn't what I imagined it to be. The way they show or read on the menu make you think the food is flavorful! Not in this case, the Buffalo Tenders was really good, flavorful, and tender along with the sauce. The Mac and Cheese, Fish and Chips was nasty! I had to throw them in the garage because I couldn't finish it. The Mac and Cheese didn't have any flavor, the Fish and Chips looked and tasted like a School Lunch. No flavor at all, I thought the fish would look like a typical restaurant fish. All and all the prices were good, I want to try something else because this place does have potential. They have a variety of menu items that I'm interested in so...
