Poor customer service. Three of us ordered the French Onion Soup and none of them looked the same. Mine actually only had half the bowl filled with a smaller portion of cheese and bread inside of it then the others. One was almost overflowing with hardly any broth, while the last was perfect according to my spouse. My spouse had the crabcakes which tasted more like potatoes and the plate was messy looking. The other wife had a thin cut of white superior fish which looked poor and tasted awful neither ate their meal and the waitstaff didn't seem to care. My combo of white superior and cajun shrimp was interesting. The fish was a think wrong cut like a mahi cut and was hidden under the veggies. The meal was overcooked, but the cajun spices were good. My friend had the ribs; both my spouse and him said they were delicious. The other couple had the coconut cake which they said was good; while my spouse and I each had mint chocolate gelato which was excellent. If we went here for only the ribs and desert I would have given 3 stars, but overall no way on this one-time only visit. By the way when the server came back with the check he only took off the crabcake appetizer that my wife did not eat which of course was the cheapest part of the meal. Obviously, it is not worth the value and none of us will ever visit this establishment or it's sister...
Read moreCelebrated my birthday here and could not have been more satisfied. The service was impeccable. The drinks were generous and wine list extensive. The Feta & Tomato Crostini was the perfect blend of feta cheese, tomatoes, garlic, basil, pine nuts, balsamic glaze. The mussels were tender and flavorful. After dipping the warm dinner rolls in the broth from the mussels I was afraid I wouldn't have room for dinner but I soldiered on. I had the beet salad and enjoyed it very much but couldn't stop looking at my husbands wedge salad and my sons Pear salad. I had the scallops and for the first time in a long time I didn't get a sandy one in the bunch. They were cooked to perfection, warm and creamy with a beautiful sear. The scallops came with another arugula salad so I had my greens for the week. At the table we also had the Idaho Trout which was declared the best my husband has ever had. The Meatballs and White Beans were a big hit and the New York Strip was deemed great. I was served a complimentary huge slice of coconut cake which was moist and enough for two. The others shared flan and chocolate cake. Much was...
Read moreScotty's on Sheridan is fine. For a restaurant off the beaten path in a strip mall, it's run of the mill American fare was much better than I thought it would be. However, given how expensive the food is, I was expecting more. For a comparable amount, there are several restaurants in the area with more creative, flavorful meals and cocktails. I had the salmon, which tasted fresh, but was ultimately let down by it's bland accompaniment of asparagus, tomatoes, avocado and balsamic glaze. My husband had the pork ribs, which were tender and fell off the bone, inline with what you'd get at most places in the area. Our server was very pleasant and the atmosphere was fine for the strip mall location. Overall, it was an okay meal, but my husband and I probably...
