So, I guess I'm going to go ahead and relay my experience here. (Hillsboro, Ohio Location) On 1/10/24 My wife and I ordered a country fried steak meal online through Bob evans website. Upon arrival it was quickly noted that the gravy for the steak and potatoes was not present. (This is the 3rd time in a row that has happened ordering from them) We called the store and explained the situation. They told us that it happens quite often with online orders and we were told they would write down our information in order to remake the meal for us at a later date. We thanked her and went to a local store to purchase gravy packets and made gravy ourselves at home. The food was not the best by the time we were able to actually eat. Today, 1/17/24 we called to check on getting the replacement order. We spoke to a man who was very short and not too friendly. He told us there was no note about our order of its replacement and he would have to check into it. He wanted all the information including date of the original order, Which we gladly provided. He told me he would call back with his findings. 45 minutes later I called back as I never recieved a call. The man apparently had left for the day. Before he left however he told a staff member that he HAD attempted to call me and that I did not answer. (I did not recieve a single call.) He also decided they were not going to honor their previous order correction as it was a $50 order and they were not going to replace this order over a missing gravy. (The gravy LITERALLY is half the dang meal...) They also told me that the manager who handled our situation is now at another store and they would not honor her words with us. So, in essence, WATCH OUT ordering from this location.
Review Update: 10/5/25 Upon arrival to the restaurant we ended up waiting to be seated about 15 minutes. This was crazy because the restaurant was almost completely empty! We were told They didn't know we were waiting for a seat. Our waitress was nice, but was in a MASSIVE rush for some reason. She seemed very anxious. We ordered our drinks (they were out of everything we tried to get so we went with water. We ordered our starter, then our food. They arrived at the same time. My wifes food was wrong. The beef tips and mushrooms had NO MUSHROOMS. When we brough it to the stores attention, we were told the manager would be alerted. Apparently all the manager had to say was "They are out of mushrooms". He did not offer to discount, comp or change meals. The beef tips were a particularly gristly cut and were not good at all. My meal tasted like it was 60% Salt. It actually made me nauseous and am currently still feeling sick as I type this. My Children Loved their food. No complaints by them. Lol We have decided, as a family, we will never return to this location. It is just downright bad. If you eat...
Read moreI have reviewed this particular Bob Evans location in the past and gave it a 5 star rating and to tell you the truth if it were not for our awesome server today this place would be rated a ZERO. The servers and cashiers are amazing! With that being said we arrived at a busy hour on Sunday (around 11:45 a.m. had a 15 min. wait). Table for two, drink and food order went smoothly. Our order did include the new Cinna-biscuits and were told those would be out first because they were a starter. I was sitting in a booth facing the pick up window (with a HUGE clock right above the pick up window its real easy to keep track of time) and had noticed an order of Cinna-biscuits put in the pick up window @11:25 about 10 minutes later they were still there. I told my boyfriend what was going on with these Cinna-biscuits in the pick up window. My boyfriend approached the couter where he had a short convo with a manager. My boyfriend came and sat back down and the same manager (male) came over to our table with attitude (for some reason) stating those were NOT our order of Cinna-biscuits. I told him I watched them being place in the window at about 12:25 it was now 12:38 and those SAME Cinna-biscuits are still sitting there. He said "I'll go check on YOUR order" he never came back and we never received our Cinna-biscuits. Not even 5 minutes later our meal was dropped off by another manager on duty (female) we told her about the Cinna-biscuits situation and how the other manger was suppose to check on them but she seemed uninterested in the story said sorry about that and walked away. I sat there eating my meal and the entire time those same Cinna-biscuits sat there in the pick up window. Right before we left I watched the LYING manager walk up to the pick up window & dump those Cinna-biscuits in a bin. Out of everything the lying is what has me so upset. NO ONE in that whole restaurant that entire time we were there seemed to be missing their order of Cinna-biscuits. There was an order sitting in the window untouched for 10 minutes that we inquire about but that wasn't our order we never received our order and then I watched that exact same order get thrown in the bin. I am not the smartest person in the world but I know enough to formulate an opinion. I was actually excited to eat the Cinna-biscuits maybe one day I will get to try them. The only person who wanted to make the situation right was our server but we told her not to worry about it. She made sure the Cinna-biscuits were not on our check lol. I have eaten at my fair share of Bob Evan's restaurants this is by far the worst experience I...
Read moreThis place has really gone downhill, from servers sitting down at your table and complaining about their job, to just plain terrible customer service, and mediocre, over-priced food. The last time we went, our server was very pushy and rude , coming back to our table every 30 seconds and trying to rush us into ordering, even when we told her we would need a little while to look over the menu. Then, about a half hour to 45 minutes after we had ordered, she comes back to our table and tells us she forgot to submit our order to the kitchen, so it's going to be about another 20 minutes for our food. I could understand this happening on a busy day, but they were fully staffed and the restaurant was not even at one-third capacity. We decided to go ahead and wait for our food, because we had been waiting that long already. It wasn't very good either. The manager came to apologize to us, and offered us free desserts. I'm glad she comped it, because I would not have paid for that horrible pie. I don't know if they come pre-made, or are made in-house, but it tasted like someone accidentally knocked the shaker off the top of their spice jar and dumped it all in. One bite and my mouth was burning and tingling. When the cashier asked us how everything was, I politely informed her, but she just laughed like it was no big deal. The corporate office apologized for the abysmal service, at least, and sent me a coupon. I gave it away, because I am never going back to that...
