While planning a visit to Oregon from Arizona with my family, I learned this place was well known for having an impressive bourbon selection. My wife surprised me by arranging for us to come straight here from the airport, and what a great experience!
I was immediately greeted by Dan as I was looking over their selection at the bar. After we chatted for a bit about the things I enjoyed, he made some recommendations and set me up with a tasting flight where I was able to enjoy several options I had never even seen before back home. (Some age statement JD, Weller 107, and their amazing Stagg barrel pick, for which they have the actual barrel at the entrance!). The Stagg pick even impressed my wife who does not drink bourbon!
The selection and pour prices on the bourbon would have been enough for me to want to come back, but the unexpected delight for the rest of my family was that their food was really tasty as well! We got quite a wide variety of different meal options and all of us were impressed! Most places only manage to do one thing really well so it was a real treat to find this gem!
Dan, thank you so much for making this a memorable visit and also your wait staff was so friendly and attentive. I certainly hope to make it back for another visit before we leave town!
Edit: I made it back for a 2nd visit on my last day in Oregon, before heading to the airport, and again... Wow! Between our two visits, and all of our family, we tried the bacon cheeseburger, fish and chips, fish tacos, BLTA sandwich, a couple of different salads, and more... and the food delivered well above average on all fronts. Also, our waitress, Shelby remembered us, and was just fantastic! Honestly, I came to try the fun bourbon, but ended up being really impressed by the dining experience too, so win-win.
But let me tell you... for any bourbon fans out there... please just trust me on this one and stop by... On my 2nd visit, 7 days after my 1st visit, Dan greeted me by name and then with his help and suggestions, I selected a tasting flight of all wheated bourbons. (Bardstown wheated, Weller 12, Weller FP, & Makers Mark Cellar Aged) I had such a fun time talking whiskey with Dan, and trying so many new things... Looking at their selection, I could easily see myself coming back over and over again to keep exploring!
What a great...
Read moreIt was the snowpocalypse 2024. I was so hungry, and I was in Beaverton in the middle of the worst part of the storm. I really wanted to eat something with my friend, and we googled that this place was open. Right when I got there first thing I noticed was there was ample seating even though there was probably over 50 people inside. The bartender was very sweet and very accommodating although she was very busy. I ordered the elk burger and was blown away. I've never had out before, and I have to tell you it's not like other meats. That being said the sandwich felt like it was imported from a different time or a different universe all together. I will definitely return to this part of the town, just for the ambience, as well as a service, and as well as the kind delicious and amazingly mind-blowing elk that gave its life, for me to be a carnivore in 2024 and have my first elk burger of all time. The cheese melted right into the meat, the mushroom sauce or whatever it was in there was impeccable, and we topped it off with blue cheese. I highly recommend you try the elk burger at this location. Of course it goes great with whiskey as well. I will...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I visited Front Row yesterday evening and were thoroughly pleased.
We had been on our way home from Stevenson Gorge area to Rockaway Beach and stopped at many places along the way.
Starting from our first stop and the 5 in between not one place was willing or able to make a mojito or blended margarita. We were ready to finish the rest of our drive with empty stomachs and Mojito/marg blue balls when I gave it one last shot and looked on google and found Front Row and called to hesitantly ask if they'd be able to accommodate. I do understand that those are probably the 2 most annoying drinks for a bartender to make but when you're craving something fresh like a mojito, there's really no substitute.
My boyfriend was the one that was on the hunt for a blended margarita. Server was kind, polite, personable, helpful, patient and accommodating. The drinks were fresh and delicious and the food was surprisingly really good, thought out, & flavorful. I say surprisingly because majority of sports bars just have...
