Meal for two ran us 64+$9 tip.
Pros:
The atmosphere is nice. Overall I rather liked the setup of this place. It's very cozy and, besides the tennisball capped chair legs, the interior design is very calming. The loud modern music they were playing didn't match the vibe in my opinion though.
The proportions are generous for the price. There's a value here that I think they could capitalize on more if they just tinkered with the presentation and quality to make it worth it.
The unagi nagiri was great. This is my partners favorite dish so we were happy to see it's presentation and proportion was both beautiful and generous. Unfortunately my partner felt the sauce they add on top was a little too sweet. Might just be preference.
Cons:
The chefs aren't very attentive to people sitting at the bar. It wasn't very busy.
The server basically tried to scam me and purposefully gave me a cold order and then scoffed at me when I requested what I actually ordered. Skip the story if you don't care but it's funny. The story: I requested an order of fresh baked mussels from the server. The server pointed out that there were two orders on the conveyor belt already, but these had been there for some time before we arrived and I wanted them hot. The server protested again but I explained the former as politely as possible and they relented and left. Who wants cold BAKED mussels??? The server then returned sometime later with two cold baked mussels. They obviously just grabbed them from the belt when we weren't looking, but I didn't protest much. I simply politely pointed out that they were cold and we requested a fresh order. The server suggested he could just put them back in the oven. HELLO??? I politely insist that I just want what I ordered fresh or not at all. He picks up the order of mussels, pauses, scoffs at me and says that's not how customers normally do it. I could have said a lot, like how he obviously just tried to scam me, but I just thanked him for his understanding and once again had to insist that I just want what I ordered. And to top it off, the mussels I got after that were bitter and luke warm.
The Salmon Nigiri looked a little deflated and didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked.
We left feeling unwell.
Really hope they refine this place because I really love conveyor belt sushi restaurants....
Read moreOrdered food, for pickup through the pickup option on their website, hot food ( BAKED muscles, FRIED vegas roll, BAKED dynamite rolls and FRIED crunchy cali rolls ) along with other rolls which are served cold normally, all made correctly. When I got my order home ( 7 minutes away) everything, aside from the Vegas roll, which they actually have to make fresh since it's not on their "go around", was COLD. They pull EVERYTHING from their go round so it's not actually made to order. HOT roll including baked muscles, crunchy cali, and dynamite rolls. I would never order from here if you actually expect fresh food, especially anything you order that is supposed to be hot. Instead of actually remaking just even my hot items. The owner refused to make the hot sushi items again and took all my food back and refunded all my money and told me to go somewhere else if I expected hot food. The money I was paying was not an issue. Enjoy the false advertising...
Read moreEdit 10/2021: I was in a bad mood when I wrote my original review and forgot I even did so (poor excuse I admit) and have gone here many times after posting it. I love their sushi and am appreciative of their service. I understand them being closed on black Friday and respect it now. I also empathize for how tough it's been this past year and a half and take back my old review and hope people will go for their great quality food. Please pardon my original review. I'm leaving what I wrote only as reference, but stand by them these days 😊
I thought, why not get sushi on black Friday after work? Didn't work that way with O sushi. Google shows their Black Friday hours and found out they were closed. Not sure why a sushi place would be closed on Black Friday. I'd imagine they'd make bank with all the shoppers out and about. Decided to go to Sushi Town instead and they were packed! Sorry, but if you're closed on a busy day, you're going to...
