I'm sticking with Starbucks after today! This place can have nobody inside at all go up to get one drink and get left waiting for 15-20 minutes multiple times. Usually I don't get upset I know they are busy focusing mainly on the drive thru and I've worked in the food/beverage industry I know how it can be. What makes me mad is when I'm waiting for my drink a small town Karen can come in thinking she owns the place, can order a 6 drink order and she gets waited on instantly. Then she cuts in front of me while waiting for my drink knowing she's getting waited on first. Or the drive thru 8 cars deep can be cleared before getting my one drink! This has happened twice that I've noticed. Typical Hillsboro it depends on who you are as to how your waited on and treated. The staff never says thank you or are friendly most stand there never saying a word or ignores me then I might get a "what can we get you" after waiting 5 mins for somebody to acknowledge me and tells me my total, but when paying with a card wants you to automatically leave a 10-20% tip. When did tipping become more of a demand than a graditutity for good...
Read moreMade a pit stop here after the owner of the Maplecrest Meats across the street mentioned this was one of her businesses. As exceptionally good as the meat store is I had to check this place out as well. We ordered two regular coffees. The large was an incredibly reasonable 2.25 for the house blend. It (like the steaks from across the street) was some of the best coffee I have drank anywhere. The price and taste puts Starbucks to shame. The associates were all very friendly and engaging. The service is what you expect at a coffee shop so over all a five star experience. The best part is if you need gas or a fresh cut deli sandwich you came to the right place as well. Who knew you could find this many diamonds in the rough in such a small town. Thanks for...
Read moreService was on point! Young, friendly faces working behind the counter. I watched the interaction of the four individuals behind the counter for a good five minutes before I ordered. I left what I felt to be a healthy tip because I did not hear one employee complaining. In today’s world that’s kind of unheard of as the younger generation seems to not care who hears their business and who doesn’t. Kudos to your staff working this mornings shift Holtfield Coffee! Both drinks were good. This coffee shop is located inside of a gas station. Even though they tried to make the corner of the gas station where the coffee shop is located, quaint and homey, it was still lacking some finesse compared to other small town coffee houses...
