I'm super disappointed in the lack of training and understanding of what wheat free/gluten free means from all of the employees working here and unfortunately this has been a common thing for last few years at least that I can verify.
While its very understood on my end that this is not a dedicated facility or that there is no guarantee, I think it's pretty reasonable to expect that if your going to serve gluten free crust and cauliflower crust pizza, that you aren't going to blatantly cover it in raw flour with your flour saturated hands from pressing out dough. And that was just the start of head shakers when it came to eat something meant to be "gluten free".
Workers dont have the proper training or understanding in gluten free/wheat free or that awareness of it being an allergy. Everything is covered in flour here and the gloves are not regularly changes. They use the same kitchen utensils to sauce, serve, and cut your "gluten free" pizza that they have been using on wheat pizzas the whole time.
I constantly have to coach and address every step because there is no proper procedure taking place with such food allergies. There is no attempt to even try to keep the gluten free pizzas as such. I purposely go in when the store is empty (I call ahead) so that time can be taken with making my pizza and these kids still proceed to rush through it like they are trying to set a book of world records on fastest speed. My pizza ends up looking like a pyramid at the end and I have to ask for them to properly spread my toppings out so that the bare 1inch edges are covered.
Making GF Pizza: Gloves should be replaced before anything is touched relating the order, CLEAN cookware and utensils should be used, fresh toppings should be attempted, and cooked gf pizza should not be put on shared glutened surfaces like the...
Read moreI dont usually eat at this lacation even though it is closest to my home. My girlfriend actually works for MOD, but at a different location. So I usually go to the location she works. Well I decided to try this one since it was right down the street from my house. Employees of MOD recieve a free pizza everyday they work so I have always just gone in when my girlfriend is working and gotten free pizza. I have to say it was worth paying for. They accommodated my special request that I have become accustomed to from having my girlfriend making them. The employees are very friendly and I like the decor and ambience. I didnt eat there, but I definitely would and feel comfy doing it. Want to think them for the service and I will be returning in the future. If my girlfriend didnt work at the other location and give me pizza for free, I would regularly come back...
Read moreI was the first customer is the day. This is important. I am an honest local guide with each experience I post for a review and this one is no different. First off, what made my visit enjoyable was the young lady who took my order and cooked my pizza. She told me (before handing me the order), The bottom is more cooked than I like. If you want, I will remake it right now or you can try it. If you don't like, I will remake it. "This is CUSTOMER SERVICE" I can't state this any clearer. Customer Service 101. Communicate! My improvement tip, make sure the garlic is separated enough when roasting them. More than half of my roasted garlic was not roasted at all but it was cooked. There is a difference between cooked garlic and roasted garlic especially on a pizza. A good roasted garlic makes it almost buttery in flavor. I will return for more...
