POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE for a high-end meat market.

I pre-ordered steaks a week ago for a special Valentine’s online cooking event for my parents. I communicated to the staff that I would pay for the meat by phone since I live out of town, hoping to bless my family and not burden them with the expense of the filet mignons.

When my husband got on the phone to make the credit card payment, he was told they could not accept payment by phone and it was against their policy.

I called to inquire about what the problem was since I had talked through the payment situation when I placed the meat order. The woman that took my call said the cashiers “don’t have time to take credit cards by phone and hold up other customers”. She said someone in the management office would have had to handle the request to keep our credit card information secure.

What was supposed to be a sweet Valentine’s and Anniversary gift has turned into a disappointing experience for my family.

Just stopped by here on my way thru, a good Sammy sounded perfect. The quality of everything here is very good and everyone seems nice. I got a chicken salad sandwich ... But now I have to go find more to eat. Sandwich was mostly bread with a light swipe if chicken salad. I keep seeing their image of the same sandwich scroll on the TV menus.... Reminds me of looking a BK Whopper picture vs reality.... Didn't come out anywhere close to the example. Butchery and market looks great, did not try.

Needless to say, won't be coming back for sandwiches at least.

For 2nd lunch to fill up, I went right up the street to Samantha's Pupusas! Absolutely the best gorditas I've ever had. Everything fresh made and...

Just stop in to see what has changed. I was a big fan of Bacon’s as they custom cut all of my steaks and they had the best sandwiches in Hillsborough.

The Market area was expanded, it is much bigger with more produce and freezer space. The meat selection seems bigger AND I was told that I could still get my steaks cut to order.

We got a sandwich from the deli and a long wait, it didn’t seem to have the same large volume as Bacon offered. The staff was a little short handed today, but everyone was very friendly and apologetic for the wait.

I will be stopping in again and I am confident that they will work through any growing pains from starting their new bussiness. Good luck on your...
