Del Uruguay Bakery — Restaurant in Hillside

I was raised in Uruguay and came here when I was 15 so I remember food there like it was yesterday…. but let me just say it in english so everybody understands. I ate biscochos and pizza all my life in Uruguay and this place is so amazing because it’s the same as the biscochos taste and pizza sauce in Uruguay. The personal pizzeta sauce is so home made and very Uruguayan familiar taste .. Honestly my favorite place that I go to that’s from my Home Country Uruguay 🇺🇾. I’ve tried every place around the area and I’m just staying with this one is the ☝️🇺🇾💪🏼❤️ specially Juan and the ladies always take care of me...

Let’s start with the positive the girl who helped me was friendly but that’s where it ends. I ordered empanadas and she threw in the microwave to heat them up. When I go to Dulce de Leche Bakery they heat up their empanadas in the oven not a microwave. But even with the whole microwave situation I was like ok no big deal but the empanada was just not good the flavors were just not there. Then I ordered some type of pastry that was stale I literally took one bite and threw it away. Been here. Several times throughout the years...its a good little hidden eaterie....staff always nice and accommodating. Prices. Are fair. Quality is. Good...actually. better than expected.
