Four stars based on their usual high donut quality. The apple fritters are the best around. I'm holding one star for when, if ever, they stick to their posted hours.
I really, really don't like driving 4 miles farther round trip than their much closer competition, only to find the shop unexpectedly closed. I can understand the rare occurrence, but it's more often than that.
I know this shop has suffered heartbreaking loss in the family. I sympathize with the suddenness of the son's having been pressed to follow the father. He's doing a great job. But as a consumer, I kinda count on getting my donut fix when I expect it.
Lastly, as it applies to all donut shops around here, I wish at least one of you would bring back pecan sticky buns and maybe fruit jam topped kĂĽchens to broaden the locally...

Today makes twice in 1 month that I’ve made a special trip here early in the morning 5:20am to get these doughnuts and when I get there it’s closed? Why does it say open at 5am on your website and on your door? Like people really want to waste their gas to come out to get these and the store isn’t open when it’s supposed to be. When I walked in I was ignored even though I was the only customer on there, the two teenage looking employees instead played on their phones. When they finally got to me, I was never greeted just started at until I made my order. It felt like I was a burden.
